The motor is based on an early Mopar 400 CI Wedge low deck block with aftermarket steel caps and a 4340 stroker crank and Mopar performance aluminum heads.

Mopar Performance Forged Crankshaft 4340 Steel
Mopar Performance Full Roller Valve Train
Mopar Performance Stage VI Aluminum Heads

The motor comes complete with water pump, alternator, AC compressor, power steering, all the drive accessories and pulleys. It does not have the fast ECU injectors, throttle body, or Supercharger.

This motor was built by Nelson Racing Engines of Chatsworth, CA for "Hammer", the famous 1970 Roadrunner seen in the movie Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift. Car built by Steve Strope.

Here are some links of it on the dyno making 750HP (with the Supercharger)
http://www.nelsonracingengines.com/videos/on-the-dyno/NRE-Blown-500cid-Mopar.html

And another running in the car:
http://www.nelsonracingengines.com/videos/test-drive/1970-PureVision-NRE.html

The motor was only in the car for about 1000 miles before being replaced with a Hemi.

I'm not sure what the market value is for something like this. Maybe you guys will chime in and help me figure that out. It's a great motor that cost thousands to build. I'm just looking to get it in the hands of someone that will use it. It's been sitting in Steve Strope's shop since we put the Hemi in Hammer.

I have it listed on Craigslist and Ebay for $4000. I'm open to offers and I won't be offended, so don't hesitate to throw out an offer.

Thanks all.

Eric

Not a Scam

What?? Why would you say that. You have no idea what you are talking about. This is absolutely not a scam. Anyone that is interested, please feel free to contact me, Eric at area code 626 6743467 or you can call Steve Strope directly at his shop, Pure Vision, at 805 5222232. http://www.purevisiondesign.com/

This is the original motor that was in Hammer from 2004-2008 before we put in the aluminum 528 Hemi.

Again, NOT A SCAM!

You should check the facts before posting non sense like that.

Thanks, Eric

Not a Scam

Guys, Not sure why anyone would think this is a scam. It's absolutely not a scam. The motor is at Steve Strope's shop and available for sale. This is the original motor that we ran in Hammer prior to swapping it out for an aluminum 528 Hemi.

Anyone interested can contact me or contact Steve at his shop to confirm.

Thanks, Eric

Nice motor. The guys very first post to slam somebody. The moderators should send him packing.

I did talk to shop on Facebook and the motor is for sell not a scam

Hi,
I know this is just my second post (mainly a reader) and my first post was about the ad being a scam.
Here's the reason why I think that this is/was a scam: No phone number or e-mail in original ad. No info on the location - just says it was built by Steve Strope but not that it is at his shop. Couldn't find the ad on ebay (link?), craigslist ad is the same - no phone number, no e-mail address (http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/pts/3082968284.html)

and on top, $4000 seems way to cheap for this engine - why would you sell it for much less than u could get?. just too many red flags for my liking. If that ad is for real than I seriously apologize but I've heard to many stories about guys getting burned on things like this. If it sounds to good to be true then it probably is...

I can see what you are saying and 4k does sound cheap but you have to check facts or say sounds like a scam. Not throw it out as a fact.

great price for a great motor! good luck with the sale!

Again, not a scam.

Here is my ebay ad:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/150838587315?item=150838587315&viewitem=&vxp=mtr#ht_812wt_312

It is currently sitting at Strope's shop in Simi Valley, CA.

My mobile is (six2six) 674 3467.

You have a question you can call me.

For those that have contacted me, thank you. And my apologies for the delayed response. I've been away on business travel this week. I'll get back to all of you over the next couple of days starting with the first person that contacted me.

Thank you, Eric

ereed...you sound to me like a standup guy, selling a USED motor at a reasonable price. Just wish there were more of us like that. My motto has always been, "To sell garage items, you gotta have garage sale prices."

I'm guessing ereed probably doesn't have a need for this motor and doesn't want to store it.

...And just because folks see things listed on eBay and Craigslist for high dollars, doesn't mean that's what they are getting.

ChargerST,
Next time you accuse someone of a transgression, be sure YOU have your facts correct.
When selling items on FBBO, rules apply.
One rule states: "NO PHONE NUMBERS". Try not to be so obtuse and dont be so quick to post negativity.
This will make our community (FBBO) a better place.
Thanks,
PS: I've been to Australia a couple of times. I visited Perth and Melbourne. I loved it. Wish it was not so far away!
