Slider type Disc Brakes.

I have to say that the search function is bad here. I have slider disc brakes on my K frame. I would like to know what I need to do to change it to the pin type calipers?
 
You need the pin type caliper adapter and calipers, pin type bolts, and I believe hoses.
 
I'd keep the sliders. Pads are 1/2 the price of pin type pads, and ceramics are available for sliders.

Haven't checked rotors, but I'd bet they are similar.

Problem is I can't find a calipers for a slider. I found a pin type.
 
Last time I checked the rotors were more for the slider than the pin type.
 
Rotors are the same.

Probablly should ask if they are 11 inch or 10 inch.
I think the calipers are the same, but obviously the rotors (and the caliper brackets) are not.

I believe the rotors for the pin type are larger than the slider type. Also the pin type rotors are heavier. You can look at the two rotors side by side and see they are different. I have pin type on my Challenger, RR, and Satellite. The slider type is on both of my Darts. The price difference is also because they were only used up until 1974 on the B and E's as far as I know and everything went slider type after that.

I bought a couple of disc brakes set ups off of eighties fifth aves and they had sliders. I also got a set of big rotor caliper adapters off of a late seventies cordoba and it had sliders.
 
I have taken the discs off of many late 80s fifth avenues and late 70s Dynastys and they were all slider type.

Well my problem is I already have new pin type calipers,rotors,brake lines. I just need to know how to change it from a slider to a pin caliper.

You'll need pin type caliper brackets and check your bearing sizes. I don't know if you can use the spindle from a slider type with pin type parts. If you want to use the pin type I would go to the junkyard and grab a set of spindles, dust shields and caliper brackets off an old 5th Ave.

I thought it was the other way around...pin until 74, slider after that.

My 72-74 cars all have pins, but my 87 5th Ave had sliders.
