I am new to the site and would appreciate any feedback on "tricks", Warnings, etc prior to my suspension rebuild. I am very handy and perform most work on my 69 roadrunner ( swapped rear ends, fuel pumps, brakes, shocks etc) but never worked on Steering and related suspension. Any constructive advice is appreciated. Thx

welcome to FBBO, you will probably get more "good advice", if you post this question in the appropriate forum, suspension, year specific, racers hang out or even general discussion, with some specific questions & details on exactly what you are doing & need help with question away & good luck...

Welcome 69. You'll know your way around here soon enough!

I would not use poly bushings. Every one i have had will pop out, too hard., I use nothing but OEM rubber.

Welcome to FBBO!

You will enjoy this site. Great people and great information!

Welcome aboard! Ma Snart couldn't have said it better...

Things I learned:

1- Shop around for best value-
The best deal for me turned out to be the "small" poly-graphite kit from PST
amd the rest Moog from rockauto.com.

2- Buy or rent a ball joint socket (and be careful wit hthe threads)

3- The "improved" strut rod bushings are the way to go

4- Factory strut rods tend to bend- if you can find thicker, I'd do it

5- Torsion bar boots can be a big ripoff, shop carefully

6- Save the old grease fittings, or buy extras

7- LCA pivot bushings weren't as bad as I'v heard- no cutting, but you will need a press (and be careful) I'd do one at a time

8- New adjustment cams might be a good idea

9- The "socket" method for the t bar boots works well

10- Definately do one side at a time- you can use the other side for refernce, and you won't get the parts mixed up
