I just purchased a 1973 Dodge Charger original 400/4speed now has a 440/4speed. Car has recent orange paint and the previous owner was working on restoring the car.

It's in need of carpet and the black seats recovered. What is the best source to buy new interior.

Thanks in advance.

Tom

I will work on getting a picture up. I am also in need of the lower bellhousing cover or clutch cover. If anybody has one please contact me. Thanks again for the replies.

from what i have seen of the car it's really solid. I have not had it on a lift yet. The brother in law said the owner was particular and wanted to work with solid bodies. I love the 4speed and I think I got a really good buy on it-well I couldn't replace it for what I paid.

Did you look at it in person?

Legendary interiors has a good rep. I would avoid year one, just because you are going to go bankrupt on their shipping rates.

No, too far to drive.

Listing was 10K OBO, right?

They had a 66 383 Charger that was something like 7K OBO, and they took $2500 for it!!!

Had I known that I'd have made the drive....but I would have wanted both of them :)

Thanks for all the nice replies on the car and the welcome to the forum.

Yes, they were asking $10k and they knocked a couple grand off. I guess maybe I could have got it for less but thought it was a good buy.

I looked at the car again tonight and the fenders, floors and 1/4's are like a brand new car. The paint is nice driver's quality although their are a few specs of dirt in it in a good light but looks fantastic at 10 feet. And the four speed is awesome-I wouldn't have bought it without the 4speed. And having a 440 in it was also a selling point. It's a good starting point for the cost of the car. Tom

That's a great pic, showing the awesome body lines that this version of the Charger had.

Gongrats...but i'm jealous :)
