I posted these pictures of a Challengerunner that was at the Jacksonville Automotive Muscle (JAM) show in Yulee, FL last weekend on the shows forum, but here are some pics of just that car. I knew someone would end up doing this someday, but I always thought they would use a Charger. :)

You need a Plymouth to call something a Road Runner. I'm with MarkS.

well they screwed up the charger with 4 doors.....and the new dart stinks......and guys/gals are putting those pig ugly 16/17/18 inch wheels on old cars......so where is the line drawn ?

I like the idea but the execution is pretty bad in my opinion. All they did was add a few graphics to the car and bam it's a roadrunner. I'm not sure what company does it but I like the kits they sell that make Camaros into Trans Ams. In my opinion it would be pretty cool if someone tried that on a new Challenger.

As for the new Chargers, I agree it's disappointing that they have 4 doors but I had one about 5 years ago (Black R/T) and loved it. Whenever I'd floor it I forgot immediately about the doors. No matter what Dodge (or any other manufacturer) does, they'll never satisfy everyone when they bring the old school muscle back. For me, I love the fact that they are bringing some of the old school styling back when everyone else is focused on building cars that hum and look like pods.

i could slap stickers on a truck that say daytona, but that sure as hell dont make it one!

I've seen a few of those here running around ,and a few on ebay with the wings for sale.:icon_thumbdown:

Wait a minute. My plan to make a wing out of plaster and nail it to the trunk of my '74 won't make it a Daytona? What the hell?

Challenger with badging

There is a company that make a few that look like 71-74's kind of with the Challenger platform, they could do a different grill, maybe a go wing & special RR style bulge hood to make it look a little closer to the Road Runners.... but if it aint a Plymouth it ain't a Real Road Runner... I think maybe it was the Petty Garage was doing a Road Runner type Challenger too... Here are a few of the Challenger kits & a couple of concepts

More RR concepts

I found a couple more... on the Challenger Platform... A couple from Richard Petty Motorsports/Garge & a couple more old 2011 Roadrunner concepts in Yellow & Black too...
