1969 Super Bee

Welcome. Great project you have, I love those Bees. Best of luck on the restoration.

Very cool! I dont thing putting a four speed in it will hurt its value in any way. BTW cool ramp truck, is it yours?

Very awesome looking Bee! I like that color and I have not seen to many unless I just thought it was B5 blue cars. I like the white rump stripe.

Are you going to medi blast it? If so what are you going to have them do? Do some searches on it as some blasting will warp panels quicker. I looked into it years ago but do not remember what back then was the best and I think they have a lot better ways of doing it down.

I think plastic media is the best to use. Good luck on the Bee and it wont be long till its on the road...Unless you do as I did dig into the project and then decided to do a ground up job lol.

Keep posting pics and keep us posted as well and welcome to the board.

I'd just say, take your time and do it right. :) Nice project, my personal favorite Mopar.

Great looking car and welcome to the site. Media blasting your car would be a wise decision. Find all the problem areas and repair them now.

awsome find! as far as changing it to four speed...do it! just hang onto the original parts for the auto.love the '69 Bees

I am not really a fan of the column shift, The guy I got the car from gave me a complete 4spd setup to change it over if I wanted. He also give me the hump for the tunnel that he took out of another car. I kinda hate to change it since it still has the original 383 and 727 with it but I really would rather it be a 4spd and I don't ever plan on selling the car. what do you guys think?

value worth more original....nice project start...great choice

value worth more original....nice project start...great choice

I understand if I were restoring it to resale it all the original components may be more desirable for the purist but I'm never planning on selling the car as long as I'm in my right frame of mind..lol..so really I have to make the car like I want it. also all the original stuff like the engine and trans I am keeping for sure and that's always something that could be put back if need be. these cars are meant to be enjoyed in whatever way makes the owner happy. It sure wouldn't be any fun to go through all the sweat, tears, and money to build a car you wasn't really satisfied with. so I have to 4spd it, I couldn't live with myself if I didn't..lol

Darrell, Thats how i feel about them myself, your car, your way.. The 4-speed going in there's no way you'll be sorry and it can always be put back if for whatever reason.. Like you said, to go thru all that work and put all that money into it, Cant be happy by building one the general public likes, you have to do it your way! Good luck and please post some updates as you go, we resto junky's need them, well, i do lol.

I don't think converting it to a 4 speed will really hurt the value because too many people like 4 speed cars.I would convert it myself.
