Could this be the car to receive a 6.1 Hemi transplant?

Being a 4 door. I'm gonna say maybe 3000.00 because it's in really good shape. Clean.

Is it a running driver...(do not see a battery)? What's the drive train, brakes and under carriage like? Is a 4 door to your liking? How long has it been sitting? Not sure what they use on the roads in the winter there but has it been driven in the winter?...these are some of the questions you need to ask the owner and yourself......also what does a 6.1 crate motor cost and what is involved in parts, labor and money putting one in? Body and interior look pretty clean but since it is in a cold weather state I would look in the trunk, under the interior carpeting, etc.....for any rust problems.......

I would pay 2000-3000 for that in its condition. BTW its not a 66, its a 67. The clean grille and surrounds are worth 1k by themselves so there is a HUGE plus. Check the frame rails and floor pans for rust, if rust free, I say buy it. It looks like a great start and something you can put a little money into and enjoy or transplant and surprise everybody with a roasting 4-door.

A car without AC is a huge negative in the south and even tho the front end might be worth 1k here, you still have to make sure it's in good shape for it to be worth that much. Another thing that you need to make sure of is if the thread holding the interior together isn't dried out. I picked up a 67 'Net that was nearly perfect looking inside until I sat in it and all the stitching started popping on it. 4 doors that are up and running and look very good brings ok money. If I needed it for parts and all the parts that I needed were there, I might pay more than 1500 for it but the one I got only cost 400!

Too many doors for me. I'd sell it if they gave it to me. It's just a 273 4 door car. No A/C as mentioned. In this suck *** economy, I'd say 1500 tops. You never know what lurks beneath that carpet.

We have a 67 4-door that's been switched to a built-up 440 that's got a new interior and perfect body selling for $8,500 over here, which I'm sure it's worth but it's been for sale forever. I'm guessing it would move at $5,000, so I would value this car at $1,500 to $2,000 tops. The only thing there are fewer of than nice 4-door Coronets is people who want them. :)

That has a Cool looking Dash ....

A more door for the Family =)

Shoot...yes it is a '67 not a '66. I have three '66 so that is what gets stuck in the brain. I was thinking its worth 2k if the bottom is as clean as the top and the trunk isn't shot. It is too bad they sprayed that stuff on in place of the vinyl top. That is the thing bothering me. What lurks below?

As far as rust I don't think the car is rusty at all. It has only been outside for 3 years here in the high desert. I was told it lived in a garage in CA for most of it's life prior to that. I suuuuure wish I could sell my other Charger. It would make buying another car much easier! Thank you for your opinions.

I like the look of the four door 66-67 B-bodies, it would make for a fun cruiser and look mean with some big steelies and dog dish caps.

I'd like to see that 4-door. Is it in an ad somewhere? I'd be half tempted to put my k-member in, drop in my 5.7 and drive like the wind and sell off the rest of mine for $5k.

I picked up a 67 belvedere 4 door in similar condition in Georgia for $2,000 and drove it 65 miles to my in laws house that night. My intents were originally to use all the substructure for a 69 plymouth and then sell off the sheet metal to help offset the costs. Seeing that I don't have a shop right now to do the bodywork, I've decided to run the 67 until I have a place to work on another "big project". For fun, I'm putting the drivetrain for my future project into the 67 (512, 4 speed, 3:54 dana suregrip).

I would say up to $2,000 is reasonable if it's clean top and bottom and running. In the midwest, all the underneath parts can quickly justify the purchase price.....just shop an AMD catalog for all the substructure panels and you will quickly add up to over $2,000.

If you are doing it for a keeper....make sure that's what you want. If you are doing it to part out....make sure it's what you need. Even though the parts are worth a lot, they don't necessarily move very quickly on the market unless they are priced right.

I wouldn't pay more than a 1000..4 doors are value deficient

I'll tell you what, I'd gladly take it home for 1000 or 1500. I could part it if not drive it and sell the total parts volume for 3-4000 separately.

And why do people hate 4-doors so much?

I would not ever forgive meself for parting a car like this out. It's just too clean and original. 6.1 and a four speed no problem but most of the car still lives on. I think I'll sit on this one until spring and focus on my other projects. Thanks to everyone for the opinions.

I have to say , that is one of the cleanest survivor 4 doors Ive seen in a while. I personally believe, and have seen, how the clean 4 door market has risen quite a bit. I see that as a $3,000 + value car. Value is to keep it as is. Dont mess it up changing engines, etc. They are virgins only once. The part out value drops greatly once the 3 cream items are sold off, and you are left flogging all the common parts, no wants to pay shipping on.

I like it as is...how about the boat in the background?

4 doors rock if you really know how to use the back seat, otherwise you're probably too old to appreciate it:tongue:. I'm with the 2 to 3k crowd if it's as solid underneath as it looks topside.

It is a cool car. I really wish they would have left the top alone. That textured paint (more like what lurks under it) is my main concern at this point.
