I think I'd argue that one a bit with them. There is no excuse for their poor quality and they should own up to that. If nothing else at least make a bit stink to show your distaste...

In the end if they don't want to help you out by taking them back just make sure you post a poor review on amazon and let them know you will do it.

Some companies just don't understand the customer service side of things in my opinion. Everybody restoring these cars buys parts when they can afford them, or adds future needed parts to orders to save on shipping costs. Many times not using them for a year or 2, and not getting a chance to test the parts - so they sit on our shelves until needed. I just ran into this problem with In-Line Tube. They would not stand behind a inferior part because I bought it 1 year previous. On the other hand, I just installed my throttle cable which I bought over a year ago from Year One. I was bending it around pretty good trying to get it to work with my taller intake, and the plastic housing pulled out from the metal ferrule. It probably would have still been ok, but I called Y.O. and explained what had happened. The girl told me a new one will be in the mail on Monday and I could throw the old one away - no question asked. Now that is great customer service. About all we can do is report the good and bad companies on sites like this. And by the way you asked about Brewers - they are one of the great companies out there imo.

Thanks KB and H2E . . . you're both correct, and I've sent off an E-mail with all these facts, and have requested that they reconsider . . . being that it's Saturday, I doubt that I'll be hearing back from them until Monday . . . so we'll see if they really do have customer service or not.

I did inform them, if they'd do a little more homework and development on the panels, that they could sell a TON of them as there are not a lot of good Quality aftermarket parts for us 66-67 Mopar fans . . . they'd be in a great position if they'd fix the wheel flare and make it much closer to the actual shape ! ! But, will they listen or be content with "So-so quality" ? ? ?

I'll keep you all posted on the progress . . . as it unfolds . . .

Good new on the Belvedere Front . . . we have pedals ! ! !

Got home today to find a box from Brewer's Performance with my brake/clutch pedals and stuff . . .

So . . . here's what we got in the package . . .

Bracket, firewall bracket with bolts and nuts.
(2) rubber foot pedals
Clutch pedal
Brake pedal
Kingpin and bushings . . . this is the 1/2 kingpin that should work with my assembly



But the nicest thing about this setup - you've got to see this - the clutch pedal is lined with needle bearings ! ! !
That should really help out the wear and longevity of the clutch pedal in my car ! ! !



Still gotta get into the assembly and make sure it all works, but so far it looks great ! ! !

Test Fit . . . Looks Good . . . time to get this assembly painted . . .

So now the time for the full test - how does it go together . . .

Here's what I got:



The kit came with
- the nylon bushings for the brake pedal ( just like in the stock brake pedal )
- the bolt to hold the bracket in place ( top arrow )
- rubber stop for the clutch pedal ( fit in the hole in the bracket ) ( lower arrow )
- (2) felts to go in the edge of the clutch where the needle bearing are located.
- (2) rubber pedals ( not installed on the set yet ( but I've got them ! )
- and the firewall bracket ( you can see the 2 bolts on the end of the new bracket )

Now to tear it all down and get all this metal cleaned up and properly painted and protected ! ! !
( so it can be stuck under the dash and nobody will ever see it - that makes complete sense ! )

I hate seeing all the hassles you went through getting the car up to speed. if there is anything else your missing, let me know, I might be able to help. I have parted a few. I love that color. I'm starting on another GTX this spring in that exact same color. I also just sold 67' convert as well,

It's all a learning experience and now others know where they can go to get pedals if they need them ! ! And I'm using my original parts - that's kinda COOL ! !

Got the return package - the quarter panel - and the label all boxed and tagged and ready to go back tomorrow. UPS will pick it up at my door ? ?

This is all new to me . . . what's odd is that the label has MY address on it - so will it get shipped back to me - again ? ? ?

Will set it out for the UPS man tomorrow and hopefully it'll get returned properly to the manufacturer . . . we'll know soon enough . . .

Waiting on my refund from the pedals that were returned to AP.

The box with the quarters was picked up today - I'll be awaiting the refund on that package - and how much they'll refund to me too.

Got my old automatic brake pedal cleaned up and it's available if anyone is looking for a Automatic brake pedal . . .

- kingpin ( in good condition ) lock washer and nut
- 2 nylon bushings ( probably need to be replaced
- brake pedal
- rubber pedal ( in very good condition )
