I see the F-35 "up-colose" everyday guys...

It's "un-parralled" in it's capabilities...
It is truly a "Advanced Technology" air vehicle.

Now, did Lockheed-Martin under bid the vehicle?
Answer: YES
Has the Pentagon paid more for the F-35 than originally contracted?
YES
The reason it has become "the most expensive" aircraft program ever is simply because the request for the F-35 is multi national and the initial cost estimate was in the years 2001 to 2002.

That was a decade ago,

And yes, I'm sure the video has been "altered"

PS: The F-35 is still on a "Limited" flight basis...heavily restricted as of now.

And no...it's not LM Areos fault...it is solely a Pratt-Whitney issue

That is Nellis AFB, Las Vegas NV.
I go there quite a bit.
The "OT" on the Tail is a Nellis AFB "Operational Test" designation, flying outfit.
The "WA" on the tail is also a Nellis AFB designation, "Weapons Academy"
The FF on the tail is Langley AFB. Virginia..."First Fighter" squadron...
The HH on the Tail is of course Hickam AFB HI
The AK is Alsaska
And of course the ED on the Tail is where I am, Edwards AFB, Mojave desert, CA...home of the Air Forces' Flight Test Center.
