I wasn't going to post these until some very helpful members talked me through the torsion bar adjustment to bring the front end down.

I know that this style isn't everybody's cup of tea...but it is mine...and I like my car as much as you like yours.

Just a bit much for me...but looks good on your car.

As Dr. Zachry Smith used to say...."Oh...the pain...the PAIN...."

Congrads with your purchase...
Nice car by the way..

and that is all that matters!

Looks great. As was said a few times above, the only opinion that counts is yours. If everybody had the same taste in cars it would be a pretty boring world. As 'they' say, "Variety is the spice of life".

Congrats on the new wheels! It is always exciting to put a new set of wheels on a car - it totally changes the car IMHO.

Pretty hard to screw up the lines on that car. The rims are a little too blingy for my taste but the stance and posture of that machine are bang on IMO.

Love it.

What size rims and tires?

18 - 245 front

20 - 285 rear

Details, details. I'm a ways from stressing obout this topic on my 68 but I value the ability to see what others have done on this forum. Rim and tire size is a biggie. Stance is also a biggie, which you nailed. At this point I'm thinking 2" drop spindles and 1" drop Hotchkis leafs with 17s and 18s.

Thanks for the pics. Very nice looking Bird.

I am going to install a four link in the rear.
But personally... I like the torsion bar lowering method for the front so far.

I might spring for beefier torsion bars and frame connectors.

Nice stance. Nice car. Stop explaining how its yours and you like it and you can do what you want to your car. Too many you's and yours.

You know what people notice? First the beautiful car with it's body lines and paint job. Then their eyes get drawn to the shine of the wheels. Then they get blinded by the smile of the guy behind the wheel. What I want people to say when they see me in mine when it's finished is "Boy he must REALLY love driving that car" and that's what they'll get with yours. That's the best image to project.
