Advice needed - 1 piece floorpan install

I have been reading lots of posts on floor pan removal and am looking at purchasing sheetmetal now. I have a 70 Roadrunner post. What I am wondering is if I'll be able to get the 1 piece floor pan in the vehicle, or if I'll have to go 2 piece?

you have to drill out the spot welds
if it came to it,
i would rather do that then splice a 2 piece floor together..

Ya your probably right Frank. I just went and measured one and it is only 54" long and should fit with the door removed. Was thinking they were longer.

i haven't done it myself but for the many years i've been on mopar forums,
i cannot recall ever seeing one thread about it.
i know myself,i would get a one piece floor and
make it fit in there one way or another

Hi BPBP440, I have the same car, and purchased a one piece floor pan for it. I ended up cutting it down the middle to get it in the car....it wouldn't fit otherwise. I was told afterward that I could have removed one of the door posts and slip it in, in one piece. Hope this helps.

It is, with no plans to come out. I'm guessing through the trunk is not an option...

TDawg, good to know. Did you have the door off? Sucks to get a 1 piece and then have to cut it up.

BPBP440, I did have the doors off, I had measured and it seemed like it would fit, but due to the contours of the floor, it wouldn't( maybe I was doing something wrong). I tried going through the windshield ( since it was out) and that didn't work either. So after some head scratching, out came the grinder and a minutes later I had a two piece floor. On the positive side, it gave me practice at welding it back together.;)
