Starting a new build for my 65 Plymouth Belvedere

With all these goodies you should be under 3K w/ driver.
Doug

My Weld Magnum Front Runners are on their way. Should be here by Wednesday. Thinking of new Moroso Drag Special front runners to compliment the new wheels.
Weld was just bought out by a Chinese company.

OK Larry, this could be the way to redeem yourself very easily.
Make me a 65 Plymouth Belvedere liftoff hood with no Scoop and let me know when it is ready and i'll buy it and pay you right away.
If you come through for me, i'll let everyone know that you did the right thing. And my word is gospel.
Sounds like you have already purchased a good high quality hood from another company. Just remember we make high quality "LIGHTWEIGHT RACE PARTS" for racers and they quite often find their way onto the street. You are building a race car---are you not?

This is Larry @ Sled City Once something is put on the net , it is there for a long time. I wish I could name all the guys that have wanted parts within a week because their car just went into the body shop. They should have scheduled better . Of course you have the guys that just talk to you on the phone in Jan. , and they finally save up enough money from their paper routes and sends you a check in June and bad mouths me on the net and says it took 6-8 months to get the parts from me. Or how about the untalented guy that has a good job in a completely different field and changes his dream car build direction, bad mouths your parts and has them installed by a qualified builder and every thing is beautiful. Will he get on the net to say the parts were looking really sweet once installed---NO. There are a lot of Happy customers out there that never post a positive comment about not only my products, but every one else's products. Here at Sled City Fiberglass we are a small company and we like to get our parts out as quick as possible and each new order goes to the end of the line and works it's way up. If we get a lot of orders in all at one time, It takes longer to get a part. Sorry! I also deal with a few rubber checks every year, and that is why , when a check comes to my P.O.Box, I take it directly to the bank to deposit it. If it is rubber , I work it out with the client. In the last 3 years , I have received 2 Rubber checks , and I hate to say this , but they came form people on this forum. Of course I will not mention their names. As for me not taking phone calls, I think I have the right not to answer the phone after 5pm, but I do sometimes till 10pm and never before 9am. When I am on vacation, I leave the phone lay on the desk and I will answer messages when I go back to work. As for hood scoops, I feel that we make the BEST Super Stock scoops out there, not the cheapest. When I get them made up, I put them on ebay and the Hemi scoops go within a day or 2 and we have a hard time keeping them in stock. Need some parts? Just pm me or go to my site for more info. Thanks to Forbbodiesonly.com for having this great site. Larry @ Sled City Fiberglass

Just wanted to add my 2 cents. Sled City is one of the companies I contacted for a hood scoop for my 65 Coronet and he was helpful and sent me my scoop in the time frame stated and it was top notch. I apologize to Larry for not posting sooner but in my case it was a good experience.

So I decided to see if you are going to take me up on my offer an build the hood for me. Didn't place the order with AAR/Stinger fiberglass till I hear from you on this.
Don't need the scoop just plain flat pin on hood. You in or are you just catering to the Ohio area guys?
Waiting on your reply Larry.

To tell the truth, I would have to put you in front of about 28 other orders for a 2 week turn around and I have a rule here in the shop that no one jumps to the first of the line. Sorry, if another company wants to put you in front, go with them.

My 64 AAR hood is nice. Fit nearly perfect and was very straight. It weighed 21 lbs before it was cut for the scoop.

I am sure the forum wants to see pictures of your new parts by the end of the month or as soon as you get them. Didn't you know you needed a hood and a trunk 2 months ago? What is the all of a sudden rush? This is what I have talked about in previous posts, that people don't look ahead , to order the parts that they know they need, and they wait till the last minute to order.

Thanks Al. Glad you like the scoop. The Hemi scoops are one of my biggest sellers along with the 65 Coronet and Belvedere parts. Those molds are always on the tables.

What are your et expectations?

I'm just thinking it has to be 8.80's area, and though I'm not east coast, Atco and MG can have some killer conditions in the fall. So would it run 8.50-8.60 in mineshaft air.?!?

Love fast b bodies.
