Ok... so I'm rebuilding a 670 Holley Avenger carb that I got used. I have rebuilt an Edelbrock before, but first time on a Holley.

The "instructions" that came with the kit are a joke... I have been using some online references and have torn down, and cleaned the carb, but now I'm starting to re assemble... 2 steps in it says to reinstall the pump squirter nozzel and shows that it takes 2 gaskets... which ones?

there are like 30 gaskets and they only vary slightly in size... I feel like this was intended to make me feel stupid.

Any help is appreciated.

There are often variations, one kit fitting more than one model of carb. Matching your old gasket to the appropriate new one is normal; you'll have a few spares to throw away, or if you're like me you'll keep them for 30 years and throw them away later.

Thanks Photon.. the problem is that the carb I got was clearly messed with and was missing some gaskets (fuel bowl and squirters) when I got it. luckily I didn't pay much for the carb.

I have worked my way down through process of elimination and I'm guessing the 2 squirter gaskets are the metal ones?

Typically the metal ones are for the bowl sight plugs. One gasket goes below the squirter (pick a fiber one that the screw fits through and the OD is the same as the squirter) and then look for the thinnest, smallest gasket to place on top of the squirter under the tapered screw head.
