Yep. After all we've been through. Anyways, as good as this site is and craigslist, I wonder what the equivalent site would be for a 1st gen chevy. Anybody? Thanks! Tyler in San Diego.

sorry , I can not contribute to the delinquency of a chevy owner

At least he wants a Camaro and not a Camry or something.

No help with a Chevrolet forum but I can tell you 2 of my boys like Mopar, the other likes Ford Mustangs.

The good thing is they all like V8's and girls which makes me a happy Dad.

Nothing wrong with camaros, one of the coolest cars I ever owned was a 1992 IROC-Z, had a 800hp fi boosted small block, strange rear end, worked EVERYTHING, brakes, suspension, tires, wheels, interior all custom, fiber glass rear hatch, hood, door skins, and front fenders, custom frame supports and connectors, strut braces, custom floor pans to clear dual 3" exhaust, etc. ALTHOUGH, I had almost $60K into the car and sold it for $50K, now with the pro touring prices I think the car would be worth $80K ish...

It was their money and they had to find a place to park it. The driveway and yard was full of Mopar.

Let him have his Chevy and after a few father son street races where he never wins he will understand why it's mopar or no car

Allow him to get the Camaro...then display the true awesomeness of Mopar muscle.
Simple.

You guys are absolutely the best. Of course there's no equivalent. What was I thinkin. Apologies.

Hey we were all there once . (If not now ) and have owned a camaro or trans am or even a mustang or even a Japanese car.
I'm guilty I've owned tons of non mopars I'm not proud of it but at the time I had to do what I could for a driver I've always owned at least one mopar at all times.
the rest were trading stock to get mopar stuff or cars .
Hell I traded my first mopar (74 charger) for a 76 camaro before you guys light the torches and sharpen the pitch forks my car was worth around 3k and the camaro was fully restored with over 15k in receipts the guy just wanted a mopar.
I drove the camaro for a few mouths and decided I wanted another charger so I parted the car out and made tons of cash .
Here's a picture of my old camaro.

You tell your son one day he'll grow up and want a man's car not a kids car he will understand one day

... at least they're wired right! :headbang:

I'm feelin' ya, mine boy likes '67-'68 Mustang fastbacks. I told him to start saving his money . . .

Show him a 70 through 73 Pontiac Trans Am
Maybe a Formula?

Pontiac IS NOT Chevy....

Gentlemen,
A possible solution for the son wanting a Camero is: get rid of the son. Just kidding but possibly he needs a little education in the whys and wherefores of classy and classic automobiles.....BTW for all of the trivial pursuit players....what does Camero mean???
Cheers,
