For collector cars, no inspections. Hard to inspect something that is modified, or really old. They do have restrictions on where you can take the collector cars, though. No trips to the shopping mall, or to a restaurant. or to work. You can drive them around, and to car shows, and that pretty much covers it. I needed a bill or sale, and proof of insurace for my 1981 Mirada. That's it.
Daily driven cars from out of province have a very detailed, very time consuming, and very expensive inspection. All the inspection points need to be written down as actual measurements, not just OK/Not OK. The mechanic doing the work needs to check everything. Even cars that are 10 years old or older need a safety inspection upon being sold, even within province.
