Hi All,

I recently purchased a 68 Charger.
I've read many posts and threads regarding rim and tyre size, and still have a question or two!

The car has standard front and rear suspension and rear end. Currently it has 10in drums all round and 14x7.35 road wheels I believe. Looking to upgrade to 15s.

Would 15x8 on the front and 15x10 on the rear be recommended, or 15x8 all round? And what back spacing is recommended with standard drums?

Will 235/60/15 front and 275/60/15 rear be fine on either rim configuration?

And lastly, eventually I am looking to upgrade to front discs, and use whatever 15s I will end up with, hopefully with input from you guys with the discs.

Hopefully, I haven't put you to sleep with these questions.
Cheers

Greetings and welcome to the forum.

While the Welcome Wagon should be your first stop on the site, you would probably be better served posting your questions elsewhere (general tech section for ex.) as not everyone reads this section.

Welcome to FBBO from NorCal

The rim sizes would work probably given the proper back spacing,
IMO rear tire size is a bit small/narrow for a 10" wide rim...

try posting or looking in the general discussion forum
& the Resto-Mod/Pro-Touring forum sections
both have plenty of tire fitment experts & threads...

there's a search feature on the top right of the page too,
enter your criteria like "tire & rim size", or something like that maybe,
different wording etc.

there's a Brakes Suspension Rims & Tires forum section too,
look there too maybe

good luck

Welcome aboard FBBO from the other side of the ditch.

why would anyone put 8 inch on the front? * and 10's (if they fit are fine on the rear. The 68 charger has a far bigger well than the 66/67 models...10 inch stock may not work..10 inch with a proper backspace may. I run 215's on the front of my 67....and even on the 69 bee...my 2 cents...wide rubber on the fron looks horrible and not worth the cost of narrower wheels/tires
