Graveyard Carz Buying Up Projects

Damn will it ever end, it's Saturday have a drink. Relax, give up the spelling drama, it's turning into drama know. I'm the worst speller here, after having my hand rebuilt, cables moving fingers, loosing fingers the last thing I'm worried about is spelling, I'm thick skinned and don't get bothered by small people, live through being in a coma. Life is good and not everyone will get along, but remember were all here because we have a love for cars. Nice or not so nice. My clutch works sweet if anyone cares. I'm out,

Damn madeit to first twice for top of the page.

Crap missed the bar at the bottom and didn't make a space, Schmidt I'm going to hear about it.

Steve from Staten Island; That sounds interesting, a weld-off! Shall I rant about self-taught welders? I went to the US Metalworking school; ie welding, painting, glass repair, radiator repair, and later their Machinist qualifier identifier. You don't graduate until all welding disciplines are not only familiarized, but mastered, and all G positions, and all commmon metals. Yes, let's proceed!

Frankly, there have been zero fbbo customers at my place, maybe I'm a prick, maybe not? Maybe everyone is all over the country? I respect salty comments vs too many nice guys and non-offensive comments. So, I chose to be opinionated, my media blasting business stays busy, I'm the best and most **** media blaster out there, not the cheapest, but the best. I don't treat anyone here in a manner I wouldn't want to be treated. Another fellow said you're dealing with issues of a personal nature, I'm sorry for this, and I didn't mean to aggrevate any part of your life.
Donny, going to a welding school and taking some tests does not impress me,because that is the most basic of beginning a career in the welding field. It hardly qualifies you as anything more than a apprentice,I doubt you could pass any ASME,AWS,ABS welding test's if you even know what they are but thats not the point of this whole subject and i think we covered that. Now as far as my "personal issues" which someone supposedly told you. I really don't know what your talking about or trying to imply but it would not affect anything were discussing. Either way i think this subject has run its course.

You doubt...you assume WAY too much about me, which I find amusing. And you're the great expert welder, well, what I see it a computer screen, and a keyboard, and I read a LOT between the lines, I put my work out there, and I'm really not impressed with any of ya'll's comments except the bloke in south Florida that had his ducks in a row in his chastising me over grammer, that too was amusing. I see you all bitching about GYC's restorations, and some claim to be this or that experts and call pots shots across Worman's deck being critical of this or that when I wondered where all your superior work is? And yes, if you can't spell to a 4th grade level and string sentences together arguing your points, your size of your Johnson and all your blistering bluster of BS of one upping me or anyone on this or that, now THAT is the childish move.

For the current person questioning quality of people's cars....Here is a picture of two of the many NOS parts for my X. These are in the unobtainable category. Which I have collected for this car through the years.

This is what I am working on this weekend. Removing the rust due to oxidation and humid environments. Not by sandblasting because I will lose the actual original finish and heat treats....

This is a teenie, tiny example of my build. View attachment 361182

This is what, impressive? I am supposed to be impressed? It's a Spring holding shackle. How is having these in the condition you illustrate indicative of your work? These are subject to constant road debris and elements. I'd think buy a new one would be all that is needed. Please, show more, I've been looking for more from you, not to be critical of, but to seek out things that you're doing that I should do -- and I see a spring bolt. Do you have a website?

:wtf:

Phew, man, lots of grammatical errors above  .....

Sounds like Donny's upset. Hay turd hit me up next time ur in Florida you can come see the collection, all you blast guys think your the ****, the one and only, like you said hiding behind ur computer screen. You sound the same as everyone you complain about, so that make you just another bloke, go ahead keep posting, where's your cars ? I haven't seen one, I have a few cars on these boards as well. I wasn't going to chime in again but now I have gotten several private messages telling me not to sweat it that your upset with my spelling, I wasn't aware it was me you were even singling out. But again you are nothing to my nor do how you feel and think matter. It's quite clear your the small minded little dick mastermind of your own world. How one feels about another is there biz, and something they have to deal with, didn't your parents teCh you to mind your own and not worry about what your sister is doing. Or wearing, I'm sorry your having a bad spelling day
Must have you all Ben, they have meds for that. And for the record I have a couple roto hoist, a Flo jet, 4 pipe benders and several welders
Does it make my work better or worse, who knows, who cars. But I can say I have a blast doing what I do, there's so many awesome welders out there that I'm sure your one of the millions. And a awesome blaster to, you've had me laughing all day, and sorry your about to loose it that you've been on ur *** in front of your computer, I posted this by voice so if it's not spelled correctly I apologize for how your eyes feel. My wife has some new tits, there D's, time to play, my short comings as you have brought up I'm sure out reach your long comings. But that's a issue for you parents. Not anything I can help you with. I'm sorry my disappointment with gyc's has you upset. Like in my post I called it like I saw it, provided a pic, well time for another post from you I guess. Night Texas.

New one, lol. Sure you would buy a new repop and that is the limitations of your knowledge and quality of work.

They are new, New Old Stock, ever heard of that?

The repops are close but not the same as an OE/NOS.....They vary in size, appearance, and finish....plus probably made in China.

Furthermore, as I stated earlier the rear spring hangers are far from finished. They are also a tiny aspect of my build. Either read the full post or ignore it. The tedious part is bringing them back to assembly line like again.

Website, lol Yes I do have one I post my work on and your on it...just search and you will find pictures of my work.

My phone changes the words sometimes, the auction in Kissimmee is mecum not Barrett Jackson. And that car is the one I posted in this thread.
Sh!t, don't say that, I just bought my first smart phone today, my old one of twelve years would never have done that!

Donny there are plenty of guys that weld better than me, your just not one. So read what ever you think you see between the lines. Tell us how great you and keep on putting folks down. Enjoy your Sunday!

In another post i brought up the steel in spring shackles. I busted the thread right off a brand new import one with very little effort, just using a combination wrench. Granted it was my fault as the nut bottomed out but again using a little muscle the nut kept turning and i never realized it bottomed out and i snapped it... By comparison the original Mopar part had much more strength in it. Im sure i could have found some used shackles at Carlisle and if i had a Donny near by id have him blast them. I was to uniformed or just dumb to realize how much better a original part is. No problems as the springs are in but next swap meet, for sure i'll be looking for some original shackles.

The US Army has their own writing style which isn't IAW any known and or accepted style of writing. Many times capital letters are utilized in an incorrect format, I suppose I still have too much INTSUM writing style to abandon, but, thank you for those cogent corrections!

Thanks for pointing that out, Donny. I've seen that exact style of capitalization used before on other forums, and it just dawned on me that every single user who did that is a veteran. It makes sense now.

:poke:quite watching in the first season too much of a loud mouth could not enjoy the show even though it was about my favorite brand auto couldn't image watching a WWll documentary with a *** clown narrating it would you
I second that.

I wonder how many of you fall for the traps Facebook puts in your feeds, because most of you get so upset at the drop of my keys on my keyboard. Spell correctly, proper context, at least to a 10th grade level, this is and was and remains my claim. To the chap in Florida who just had to insert that his wife has new tits, you are amusing, and I'm glad I am nothing to you -- thus your replies! My point is and remains an effort to not look like collective dullards. I'm not advocating we get on a BA or Masters Degree level of grammar, just past the elementary school level of communication. For goodness sakes, we all have spell check which works automatically, you have to chose to ignore it -- which makes sense as many of you likely hunt and peck on your keyboard. If you can't type with 4 fingers as you look at your screen utilizing Home Row, you need help. It was fun looking for your projects as I received flak from you all, still sort of looking...again, not to be critical, but to see what I can incorporate into my own lane from your skill set and talents. I still would buy any Shackle I could find for the leaf spring. I certainly would not go to the ends of the country looking for an OEM one, but hey, enjoy the hunt!

Funny how some of you are 'new' here to fbbo, if you have been here since 2009 as I have you would know a bit more about me. Granted, I didn't wade into this conversation gently, that was my choice, which I do not regret. I'm all about getting down to business, perhaps it's my PTSD and or my surgically repaired foot that has been bothering me, at any rate, there is no excuse for such silly mistakes in how we present ourselves in our language. Levying insults isn't in the tool box, rather shouldn't be in the toolbox. If anyone is offended at these efforts then I am not sorry. Language, Where's your work is the question(s) that I have when I read the copious remarks about GYC sucking etc. in their restorations contained in this thread. How we got into welding, who has the biggest Johnson, me being clueless about industry standards and even what OEM is really shows me the core group we had here in fbbo has been infiltrated by thin-skinned keyboard crusading dreamers whom likely have their DVR set to every silly car show on Sunday morning! Guess what I'm doing on Sunday morning; Media Blasting, yes, being self-employed every day is a work day. But, I'll have 2 Challenger Doors, 67 Mustang Doors, Fenders, Hood, Deck Lid, and Valences done today, and my support beams to a paint booth I bought cheap as it was left outside and the support beams have some rust on 'em, yeah, all done today, and the full Body of the Mustang done this week, and concluding a 53 F100 Cab metalwork operations on, and resuming on the Alfa Romeo GTV, and of course my Satellite 'Street Ripper' I'm building; 5.7 w truck tranny, tubbed, widened qtrs., 335s out back, all new AMD metal, and time to banter with you all here!

My points remain: Grammar/Spelling, Show me your work (maybe put in the Members Restorations forum)? and if you're going to fire at Warmon and GYC have some comparable work that you've done in a cumulative fashion -- not just a nut and bolt that you are impressed with the sheen of in your valiant efforts to 'restore'. I don't claim to be the best except in Media Blasting. I never claimed to be an expert welder, only that I went to the school and graduated and put into practice those skills since 1987 vs the many self-taught welders out there that are really clueless and producing dangerous product that will not withstand the test of time. And my floors, qtrs., etc that are welded in/on are all metal finished, meaning when it leaves my place, I have no body fillers on it to 'hide' poor work, but the respective body shop/painter the customer takes their work to has less work to do in their lane because I did my work in my lane so well.
