Hughes engines rear main seal kit

When I was putting new gaskets, etc. in my big block, I used a Fel Pro gasket set. The rear main seal used the funky pipe cleaners stuck into the silicone sealer on the sides. As would be expected , the rear main seal leaked. So, I got the Hughes kit that is the ultimate.
I didn't feel like putting it in, so last week I had a very good mechanic do the work. I gave him the specific directions that come with the kit and told him to do it exactly the directions said. He says "I use special silicone with a nozzle that goes clear up to the top of the side grooves . it is pressurized and has always worked with other makes of cars. " I gave him the doubtful look and asked if he would guarantee it. He just laughed and said it would work great
He gets the Dodge done and we wait for a day to let the silicone dry before putting oil in..
You guessed it.. leak from the seal. He smoke tested it to be sure. He had to do it over again and put the Hughes side seals in . His dime. The silicone needs air to dry, and it did not dry. ...Now no leaks !
So, Hughes knows what they are doing.. follow directions to the letter !!!........................MO

I had trouble w/ one that wouldn`t even fit my 440, the stock one was fine and on it now. they took it back for a full refund . good people to deal with.
