OK, heres the details, 509rb, 590purple, eddy victor heads, tunnel ram w/ 2 750 eddys. the first test run it broke up badly(acted lean) changed the secondary jets to .004 bigger and tried again, same thing, forgot to turn the fuel pump on so off I go to do it again. this time go to 6200 in second and 6100 in high breaking up only slightly, I have a half inch pick-up in the tank, and half inch to an old(35yrs)holly pump, 3/8s line to the front of the car to a new 110 gal. manual pump, and then 6an to the carbs. The first pass the car almost died when it went to high gear, just fell on flat on its face, the second pass was much better with the holly turned on. still had a slight miss upstairs, but nothing like it was before, second time pulled all the way thru to 6100 in high kinda tells me that I could use some more pump in the rear, and maybe some bigger fuel line to the front pump. I hope that I am analizing this right. timing is at 34TA right now and I have rev limiter set at 6200, I'm going to take it up to 6500 and shift at 6200 or so, still pulling hard at 6200. am I right about the line from the rear pump to the engine?? what kind of fuel pump for the rear should I be shopping for? whats the odds of the gas sloshing to the rear and uncovering the sump?? (stock tank) 64 bel Dave.
