I have a few sets of carbs in need done. What are some recommendations for carb resto services?

I have used both and both are the same in quality.....Price will be a big game changer between the two....Bill offers quicker service and better pricing...

The vast majority of A12 and six pack guys use Bill

To each his own but when it comes to attention to detail you get what you pay for.

Are you speaking from experience with both? Have you had a carb done by Bill? or seen one done by him?

Ive seen A carb done by Bill and Ive had several done by Scott. Not knocking Bill but if you are into showing a car at some of the bigger Mopar shows I would have to go with Scott. Cant say I can compare them performance wise

I have yet to have a judge knock either of the two....as I said

Like I said to each his own. Let the op make his choice

Well, this is a discussion and your were the one making inaccurate statements about quality in reference to "attention to detail"....Relating this to Bill O's craftsmanship....

"To each his own but when it comes to attention to detail you get what you pay for." This is your post right after mine right? What did you say about OP and choice, lol....

Again, I have been to the top level judged events with carbs from Harms and Bill O and NEITHER got points deducted for originality....

To the OP you cannot go wrong with either option the only difference is time and cost....

Man, I dont have a dog in this fight. Your opinion vs my opinion, really doesnt matter. The fella that started this thread makes the choice, not you or I.

Scott is a West coast guy so it may be more common to have fans and happy customers that are close by geographically. The same thing like this occurs when discussing steering box rebuilds. West coast guys sing the praises of Firm Feel since they are in Washington state. The midwest and east coast guys promote "Steer and Gear", they are located in St Louis I think.

You never did have anything in this fight....

Your claim about the "attention to detail" is incorrect......You also related that to judged events....Like I said I have NEVER had a judge knock one of Bills carbs.....

Again one cannot go wrong with a rebuilt carb from Scott or Bill and they will get the same result at high level judging, period end of story...

This gives the OP two choices of two high quality shops....

I just got the carbs for my T/A back from Bill Overcash. Anyone want to comment on his attention to detail? You won't find any better for the price...

Nope on the Firm Feel vs Steer and Gear. Purchased from both.

Customer service fro Steer and Gear as well as quality sucked. Ive purchased from Dick at Firm Feel for years without a problem in either service or quality of the product.

Holds true on the carbs. Ive seen first hand carbs from both and my opinion is Scotts carbs are better detailed. Thats my opinion. East coast vs west coast is not a factor.

Steer and gear SUCKS he and his son are real bull shitters.
Stroked me around big time last year and I saved all of the e-mails for proof.

Bill has been around for a long time, much longer then Scott
he probably has 20 to 30 years or more experience on Scott doing carbs
Scott sent carbs to Bill to reverse engineer what Bill did
and then he started his carb buisness.

Bill's carbs have better plating then Scotts carbs.
btw
Scott has been trying to find out Bills plating source for years.
which tells you who's is better
also
Scott is all about the money, even when you ask him a question.
been there done that and i would never bother with Scott again
he has rubbed me the wrong way on more then one occasion.

so if you like paying more for less then by all means use Scott.. lol
Bill is a much better value.
