Sounds like you have a good hospital there. Just walk in with chest pains and they're on it. In my case it was numbness and I found myself in the ctscan. Ten minutes later I'm in the ER with three doctors. Then off to the MIR for a brain scan, man I hate them things! Through out the year I had more scans, even a Pet scan. I guess your age catches up with you sooner or later. Glad we have these facilities with all the trained personal.

If it's any consolation, Mrs Wacko had a heart attack when she was 42. Yes your lifestyle changes, but shes still around, and healthy. Healthy enough to be a royal PIA at times.

Glad to hear you're doing ok. Be diligent with your meds. After treatment, they are what prevents you from getting worse and lets you go back to a normal life.
About 4 years ago, the wife, who is an avid walker, started getting jaw pains every time she walked or exercised. Went to her dr, said go to an Ear, Nose, Throat doctor, you might have TMJ. Went to the ENT, he examined her and said no TMJ, go to a cardiologist. Went to a cardiologist, he did a stress test, stopped her 2 minutes into it. Her left main artery was 90% blocked. He said that small auxillary arteries grew larger to take up the lack of blood flow and that's why she didn't have a heart attack. She had a stent put in and put on the whole cocktail of meds: Blood thinner, BP meds and cholesterol meds. She used to bruise if i just touched her. Had to put away the whips and chains till a year and a half later when they took her off the blood thinners. Back to "normal" now !!!!!

Good to see you back to the forum. Glad you are doing better. I gave up pop years ago and only have one every great once in a while. Really don't miss it. Keep doing healthy thinks so you hang out with us for a while.

I would have coffee ,cranberry juice plain, love that, but pop I would have Vernors now and then maybe once in a blue moon Orange Crush , beer would not very often but that would Coors , not much into chips ,large pretzels once in a while , my breakfast where eggs and toast wheat maybe Honey Cheerios once a while but I like oatmeal,malt o meal and cream of wheat toast would be either toasted wheat bread with banana slices or jams that my wife make for me

well I guess I will have to look at new ways to eat I quess new things for breakfast ,lunch and dinner ,and all day trolling ideas too all the guys that have had a heart attack what your meals like now ideas and recipes and kiwi I no that New Zealand and Australia have some good ones too chime in for me please ,thanks
