Heya Mopar Folks, I'm Back

I'm Chris. I live in Oxford, GA now. I joined in 2010 when I lived in Carrollton, GA. I've been away from the site for a while again. Things are considerably better now. I'm able to start searching again for another '67 Belvedere II sedan. Hopefully, I can find a decent one for $750-$1,200 (not running) or $2,500-$3,000 (running) within 75 miles of me. I have a decent part-time job, soon to be full-time, and I do computer repair on the side, so maybe a deal can be worked out. If not, I may be able to get a loan for the amount. The '67 Belvedere II is my dream, but the I and the '66 I and II are also good. It would be cool to meet other Mopar guys and gals near the Covington, Oxford, Conyers area. Something like the blue one shown in the pics is my dream... And the other two are what I'd consider a good starting point.

Thank you. I do appreciate it. However, I am in Georgia. I should have made that clear from the start. I apologize. I would most likely not be able to afford the car and the shipping from such a distance. I like the 2-doors but I much prefer a 4-door.

Thank you. I do appreciate the warm welcome back from you and the others. Maybe this time things will turn out better. My neighbor says his brother has a '66 Coronet, either 440 or 500, 2-door with no engine and no transmission that he may be interested in selling. I don't know the exact condition except that it has been sitting outside for a long time. If it's ok and if he and I can reach an agreeable price, I may get it and trade it toward a more door Belvedere.

*Update. My neighbor's brother's Coronet is a Deluxe, not a 440 or 500.

Thank you. I do appreciate it. I don't plan to. I'm hoping to find a decent one within 75 miles of me, running or not, as long as it's not wrecked or rusted out. I don't need to put it on the road immediately as I live within walking and bicycling distance of my job and just about everywhere else I'd need to be. That gives me some flexibility.

I'm still looking, and I haven't given up. I asked around about a loan. I was told that since I don't have collateral and don't have a co-signer, I would need to be employed at least 6 months before they would consider any loan to me. I expected that. It gives me more time to look and find. The dream is still the same, in my thread, "This is my dream.", edited to include suggestions. My job and my other work, computer service and repair and odd jobs, are still going well. Almost 5 months now at my job.

I had bought a 67 Satellite out of Ohio, for $10,500 a few years back. Then i sold it a few years later. Excellent condition, nice car. A 67 GTX in the same condition would be close to $20K or more! So you are making a good choice, buying a Belvedere or similar body style car. Search C List in all the earby state's, for a decent deal.

Thank you. I agree. I like the '67 GTX and it would be cool to own one, clone or real, but I like the Belvederes better. Install the GTX buckets, console, and shifter, and it's the next best thing.
