people will amaze you in what they do.

I have much better things to do than worry about what people do with their own ****. If it doesn't affect me, I don't give a damn. If I were buying that hood or car then I might give a **** but otherwise couldn't care less.

pre-made locating stamp and cut-out from the factory with corresponding mount pad below it...

...and people still get it wrong.

Half the work is already done for you.......

Meh. Mine were drilled directly above the adjustable bumpers so I kept them there. Welded the pin to the top of bumper.

Don't buy someone else's screw ups. Problem solved.

Curious, may be a dumb question but , is there a locating mark on the fender flange? Any pics of it?

There is a mounting pad on the fender flange, aligned perfectly with the locating hole on the hood.

Not sure how so many folks get it wrong, but they do.

I have seen hood pins in the most screwed up places, and then there are the folks who think the twin scoops should be mounted like they belong on a firebird

What year are you referring to? Mine is a 69 and no locating marks on hood or fender . I would like to know the correct spots as I’m installing the 6bbl hood on mine

Well.... some folks like myself just don't drill holes in our hood because Mopar said drill here. I spent a lot of time moving the plates around where they would correspond with a good location beneath before finding what suited me and it wasn't there :poke:, to me I just don't like them on the edge. The sloppiness in your post is what's bothersome not where they are.

Looks like he's referring to 71-74 b body's I agree people are stupid shows you most have no business under a hood .
And Stanton if you got better stuff to do then to worry about other people s stuff why bother replying. These threads are for useful feedback .

I believe some models have an extra bracket that is not present on non pin equipped cars.

I also believe a simple substitute bracket could be made of heavier gauge metal to locate the pins in the factory position, aligned with the area on the hood, already prepped for them.
