Fantomworks ?

There was one year a 383 RB was made. Production on the B line couldnt keep up so they made 383s on the 413 tooling.
Word has it Fantomworks are a bit shady.

Wasn't Dan Short an army ranger or some such service man? I kind of like his edgy attitude. Like someone said I can tolerate him way longer than that slick Richard Rawlings, or the dwarf on Chasing Classic cars, and don't get me started on Mark W. from GYC.... Just my .02

He was a pilot, just not sure of which branch he served in.

I have respect for the man. He loves God, Country and Cars.

Last couple episodes have showed a few amateur mistakes his guys have made on engines that I caught. At least, there human.

There was a guy that had a 73 Fury,he said it was a Police car before he bought it. He had it painted black with a nicely done flame paint job on it,it was a nice car. I had a Weiand Tunnel ram setup for a 440,with two Holley 660 carbs and air cleaners. I asked him if he wanted to buy it,he said it wouldn't fit his 440. I said it would fit,he insisted it wouldn't fit, because he tried to put an aluminum intake manifold on it,and it fell right into the valley. I told him that he tried to put a B engine intake on an RB engine, and that's why it wouldn't fit. He said he was sure it was a 440 intake, and that his 440 was bigger than my 440 because it was a Police Interceptor 440,and they are bigger! I couldn't convince him otherwise! I still laugh about it to this day!

Got any proof to back up that gossip? Insinuating that a business, and its owner, are "shady", without real proof, if spread, can really hurt their reputation. Would you say that to Dan's face?

I watch too and would tell short Dan to not listen to the Producers. Seems like they tell him to walk out in the shop to have an employee show him something they found on a car and act shocked. Every time. Come on. Nice guy, just a little too much drama. Also thought that what the Heck Harry's (fart in the wind) A-12 tubbing was a big mistake. Even if not a Mopar guy, he should know better. One of one, zero to 60 times sounds like scripted crap.

Ive watched Fantom many times. Im sure much is scripted as most of these shows are. I was wondering has anyone actually been there in person and has actually saw any of the cars they restore?

Yes I would. I would ask him about the project about cars for disabled vets which has been documented and posted in this thread.
My son was in the Navy and stationed in Norfolk and lived in Suffolk for 15 years. Their reputation wasnt the best.
Like I said...word has it.
You sound like you have a stake in Fantomworks.

That's what he called it. Remember that he really believed that his 440 was dimensionally bigger than my 440 Magnum.

No, I know. I cant stand it when somebody says police interceptor when it comes to MoPars. It was Police Pursuit damn it. lol

Watched a recent episode of F works, they had a problem with a noisy Ford 9". Independent rear suspension, they said it wouldn't allow gears to mesh properly. Uh its a third member rear what does the housing have to do with gear mesh in a 9"? Can someone enlighten me or is it a dumb explanation, I'm in the dumb explosion side.

One thing I notice about the show,is that most of the cars he does for customers that won't do the car the way Dan insists that they build it,are sitting out front on the lawn. It looks as if you don't see things his way,you end up being either bought out,or billed out of your car. Tubbing the A12 Superbee was a sin!
