After a lot of reading of articles here on FBBO I have decided to turn my RR Clone back to a satellite but will need a few parts.
1)Upper chrome trim on fender, door, quarter panel both sides
2) Satellite embems on front fenders
3) Lower rocker chrome trim

I commend you for being proud of having a Satellite. Did you clone it yourself or buy it that way? When I bought my 70 Satellite convertible, the previous owner removed the chrome body trim, the Satellite emblems and put in body color tail lights. He didn't change the dash to a rally dash and didn't put any RR badging or stripes on it. I actually like it without the body trim as it shows the lines of the car better, IMO. If he didn't fill the holes for the Satellite badging, I would have bought some and put it on but now placement would be too much hassle. So, I never claim to have a RR even though a quick look might make someone think so ( no bulge hood either). But if someone asks, I'm happy and proud to tell them I have a Satellite !!!!

Congrats from me too on having a Satty. Nothing to be ashamed of. The body style - be it GTX, RR or Satty - they’re all beautiful cars. Hope you find our parts - you sold be able to

Hey NJRR, If you really want to put the badges back on and don't want to drill holes, you could grind off the posts of the emblems flush and use 3-M double sided foam tape. Install the tape on the back of the emblem and cut with an exacto knife or a new razor blade or utility knife blade. Then, tape the emblem on until you get it straight and exactly where you want it, mark where it goes on the body with masking tape and install it in place. I've had good luck with this and it's basically how emblems are installed on about every car made today.

If it were mine, I'd want them back on. There's nothing wrong with a Satellite. It's still a Mopar!

Thanks for the encouragement I would never be ashame of my satellite to much blood, sweat, tears one other thing MONEY. All 60s and early 70s b body are beautiful cars I guess one day I will post what I have gone through with my mopar in the past 4 years

Great idea, never really thought of that. I'm going to search for the right badging now !!!!

I think I have the top trim that runs down the top body line off my 68 sport sat vert I’m not going to put it back on. I’m not cloning anything I just don’t like it lol

Thanks

I’ll round it up I think one piece had a dent I might even have the turn signals for the front of the fenders too

Found 4 of 6 pieces still looking for rest but it’s like a million degrees up there

Clone, tribute, whatever you want to call it is like old Bruce. No matter how much he spends he is still a guy in ladies clothes.

Glad to hear you are un-crossdressing your car.

Do you think the dents can be popped out? Can the trim be polished out ? And thinks for looking so much for the items.
And price

I’m sure they can be worked out I don’t have the skills but there are people who do. I’d bet it was anodized originally but it’s aluminum so it can be buffed out

I have the rocker trim but it’s not great one side is damaged. Are you interested in the body line trim or can I put it away?

I am very interested in the body line trim. Just need a price and shipping to the 23669 area code VA

150 plus the ride fair? Figure get a stick of schedule 40 pvc to put it in and ups it. It’s long so dunno how much the pipe will cost if you want it I’ll do some leg work on it
