It is the original numbers matching trans silver not painted black.Is that an aluminum case? If so then that is a different type of seal from an iron case and it is changeable from the outside. It is a plastic sleeve with both inner and outer o-rings - available from any hardware store.

The trans will need a complete teardown to replace that o-ring BUT 4-speeds are simple to rebuild and would take no more than a few hours. The worst part is removing and reinstalling the thing !!
