Hey Gents
anyone know how long the trans cooler lines are roughly on a 3rd gen Charger? I was going to bend some of my own and didn’t want to buy a bunch of extra 5/16 line and was hoping I could get away with the already flared and fitted lines from the parts store. Would 60” be enough? 72”?
Happy Thanksgiving y’all!

My splices are ugly and leaky so I wanna eliminate the middle man and run new lines

Buy a spool of nicop alloy line for 30 bucks and do it yourself. You can bend it by hand and it’s just as strong if not stronger than ss.

I plan on bending myself, I’m trying to avoid buying extra. Advance auto has NiCopp strait lengths in from 1 foot to 6 feet and everything in between. They come pre flared with fittings for under $10 each. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to buy too short a section

I'm not sure 6 foot pieces would be long enough..there are so many obstructions and every time you make a bend you shrink the overall length. Are you needing pre-made lengths because you aren't equipped to flare and install your own fittings? Otherwise a 20-foot roll would be the ticket. You don't want to have too long of a piece either... I think your best bet might be to get some long pieces of stiff wire or something of the sort, that you can bend in place for a mock-up and then use that to get your length. Or just go for it, and if you come up short you can always adapt a short piece of rubber oil line to get it the rest of the way...

Basically, I’d have to borrow/buy the flare tool and All the fitting. I doubt I’d be able to salvage them from the current lines since the reason I’m replacing is due to rust holes and rot. Just figured it would be easier and cheaper for the pre flared

Gotcha. Try to figure a way to get a measurement, to get as close as possible..I don't have a 70s car but I imagine space is tight like the 68..
