Hey guys...
Years back I swapped a Cordoba tilt column into a 74 Duster. It wasn't a difficult swap. The steering shaft had to be shortened to fit the A-body chassis. The wiring had to be fiddled with a bit too. I really liked having a tilt wheel. The older models with tilt were so much different than todays cars. Modern cars seem to tilt from the firewall so they don't articulate much. Older versions tilt between the dash and steering wheel.
I sold the Duster in 2011 but I have another column from another floor shift Cordoba in the shed. I am toying with the idea of swapping it into my 70 Charger. Again, I'm aware that it is not a direct bolt it.
I'm curious to hear from other members that may have tried this swap. Here is what it looked like in my Duster:
