Hi gang,
Is anyone running a Dual Master Cylinder on the Max Wedge Clone or Big 440 engine?
I read through the Forum here, I see the 1977 Aspen set-up is used...
Also the Raybestos (Rock Auto) but:
1. Is the Clearance question the original style exhaust manifolds?
Or
2. Do TTI headers negate (eliminate) the Clearence issue with manifolds being too close to the Dual Master Cylinder?

I've seen a few. Some have a shield mounted under the MC.

I don't have the Max manifolds but I'm useing a 70's E body dual MC for the four drum setup. It was a direct bolt up useing the Fine Line conversion kit and distribution block.

As far as using headers, there's plenty of room.

Hey Ski, I just went through this thought process for my '63. The dual master KK posted should fit with the MW manifolds, and there should be enough room for a heat shield, possibly with some tweaking. The pics posted here, are of a later model year master cylinder, but shows there is some room in there for it. I'm going ahead with a disc conversion kit on it.

Thank you KhryslerKid...
Looks great by the way...
Fine Lines conversion Kit?
Thank you!
Man I'm having a hard time locating these parts online. You could just call Fine Lines (SS Tubes) and tell them what you want. I can find "Inline" kits on EBay but they're not showing the coil covering on them. I bought everything at Chryslers @ Carslile. (Stainless steel) Found the block at Mega parts. They're showing the block with the block off plugs which I didn't care for.

Couldn't find this part # anywhere. Bought it from Fine Lines

Thank you Vandan, my application is with the TTI Headers, so I think I will have more room as the STOCK Mother Mopar exhaust manifolds "Fit" closer to the Master Cylinder....
Again, Thank you so much!

WOW!
Great research and truly great help Chrysler kid!
Thank you so much.
I'm going with this set-up!

Made heat shield that works great. Temp at MC on 90+ degree day only 170 degrees with exh manifold temp 8-900+ degrees. Running Wilwood 4 wheel drag lite disc brakes and a A-Body 1973-76 disc brake dual 15/16"bore MC.

khrysler kid, What size MC piston are you using for your 4 wheel drum brakes?

Looks great MW 413...
BTW: What did you FAB the Heat Shield from?
Aluminum?
Just a piece of stainless steel scrap sheet metal I had laying around. You can get small section of it at Lowes. Won't corrode and is shinny to help reflect the heat.

The plastic cylinder is on my list but right now I've got the bigger dual unit. No problems with clearance and TTI's.

I can CONFIRM that the inline kit on ebay has stainless spring wrap and looks like original. Talked with them on the phone about that... they use a really bad picture for some reason

The only lines that don't have spring wrap are ones going from the M/C to distribution block and the rear axle lines. And thats the same way my original single M/C lines were made.

15/16". This is the MC that I bought. 1970's E body.

You can see that there isn't any threaded holes for the boot. This one does use a C clip for the piston. I transferred the hole location from my original. With more research there might be ones out there that have them. I don't remember if the MC came with the four mounting studs or if I reused the originals.

There is a divit at the top that will leave a small void at the mounting plate. I just used a little sealant to close it up.

With this done it bolted right up, used the original brake rod and it all functions like it should.
