power brake issue

Yeah I figured it out I guess I know all about it I've been reading enough on this wonderful website and all of the knowledge out there and a guy can't help but get his problem solved just by tuning in thank you Steve and may you be well
Joe, I was pulling what hair I have left out over my brake issue. The vender I bought the front brake conversion was of no help. I knew the brakes were not right but I could not figure it out.

I'm glad I went with Dr Diff. I've read too many brake nightmares on this forum.

I'm glad I stuck with the perfectly good OE system that hasn't failed me in the 40 years that I've been driving the car. The 16 years before that, my father forgot to hit the brake pedal in time during the first year and it got relegated (damaged) to the garage for the next 15.. LOL

Thank you you're so right that is my issue right now I have a 66 satellite with a big cam 440 in it and he put a ssbc disc brake kit in it and use the original power booster and I have a tough time breaking I'd like to know if I could use that 15/16 master cylinder on the existing power booster provided I had enough vacuum

I, too bought a disc brake manual to power conversion kit (by MBM), but I hear some say if you have a big cam, you won't have the vacuum to operate it. I think my cam specs are listed below...I don't know if this is considered a "big" cam or not (???)

CLAY SMITH ENGINEERING CAMSHAFT: Model MB*H-300-8-BHL

Valve timing (based on B rockers)
“IN” opens 42, closes 78.
Duration at .50 = 244 degrees
In valve lift = .485. In valve adjust, .000

“EX” opens 78, closes 42
EX valve lift .485, EX valve adjust .000

This is all greek/ mumbo jumbo to me. The car is 440 (4 speed), has headers, and I am planning to install a Mopar: P5153525 intake manifold (this is to replace a M1 hi rise on it now, Mopar intake P4532174 single plane).

Do I have too much cam for a power brake booster?

Here is the cam card...I assume it's still in her

I used the chat window at Summit racing and they suggested a reasonably priced vacuum booster. Was maybe $235 or so. It is a unit that is electric and creates vacuum

Yeah I looked at a car that a guy did that with and he even had drum still on front, but I also had a text conversation with a guy from Summit who said that ssbc disc brake conversion kit for B body Mopar will work with the front drum power booster from the factory but they also give you a proportioning valve that you're supposed to use and follow their directions my po left out the proportioning valve

I meant to say Master with a smaller piston
I've got a problem like yours (except I have 17-18" vac) ...do you know what size your MC bore was when you had a hard pedal ?.....And what size MC bore was used to get a far better pedal ? My kit has an 8" dual booster, front dics/rear drums..the booster checks good...but still no power assist. Any help would be great. Thanks
