Worst fight I ever got into was in a street race when I was 17 in High school. I was at a local hangout in my dad's 62 /6, 3 on the tree Dart and a guy challenged me to a drag race. He was in a 55 Chevy with a 265 and a powerglide. Well I must have beat him 15+ car lengths. I proceeded back to the hangout and parked. A few minutes later he comes sliding in and jumps out telling me that's no 6 cylinder. He informs me he's going to look under the hood and I refused. That's when he sucker punched me. When I didn't fall down is when the fight was on. He broke my nose with that first punch, he ended up with a broken nose too, as well as a couple of broken ribs and multiple cuts and abrasions due to me getting him down and slamming his head into the gravel. That was then. Things were settled differently. We didn't pull guns or knives, it was just an old fashioned fist fight. I have carried a pocket knife since my first day of school and used to carry a shotgun to school if I was going hunting with friends after school. We settled things differently and it was never a thought to pull out knives or guns.
