I loved watching your previous builds and like your attention to detail. I can already vision how this one is going to turn out. Subscribed!

I'll take talent over $, I imagine one follows the other.

I couldn't kick a welder down the stairs, although I plan on learning how to use one.

I don't like my firewall, but I have not yet been able to tell someone, so I cut it out and replaced it, with another one, that I cut out, and you wouldn't know unless I told you.

Got the new firewall and rockers installed. Moving along

You could buy this one and skip all the dirty work: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1965-Dodge-Coronet/264226195778
The car on ebay is a really nice car with a Hemi and electronic fuel injection and a two door sedan that has a stock wheelbase. What RVW is trying to replicate is a factory built altered wheel base 2 door hardtop car, and at the rate that his car is going, he will have it finished soon. And---it's a father son project ! How cool is that?

got the new transmission crossmember in and starting to mock up the engine placement. Decided to go with a engine plate so we have to make up some unique mounting brackets because they will mount on the "clam shells. The white lines on the clam shells is where the mounting brackets will go if we stick with the stock engine location. Also decided to go with a gear vendors unit. Also got the Hiliborn Intake modified for the electronic FI.

Love your build , I started my car over 16 years ago , moved and put it in storage . Pulled it out and have started to work on it again . Did not do it the factory way . I moved the Hemi back in my car 2 inches to take advantage of the extra weight on the real axle . But with you using a gear vendors od your drive shaft will be real short . I will use a motor plate also . looking forward to see how you do yours . again great build !

Just finished doing a set of awb 65 Plymouth fenders for Art Thiabald and friends.

I got my motor plate yesterday and measured out to where mine would fit . With the motor set back it would go even with the top shock hole . Will make a cardboard template and cut to fit .Also I have gasket matched the water pump housing and block and will do the same with the ARC motor plate . this will help the water flow thru to the water pump and not have any restrictions . the ARC plate is 3/8 inch thick and has a matching lower pully spacer to get the correct belt alignment . Mancini racing sells both. Hope this helps John

Looks good thanks for the pictures you are a lot farther along than we are

Kinda have come to a screaming halt on the A/FX for a couple of months. Got to get one car done for West MI drag week end get my 66 Dodge back up and running. Just took the 64 Plymouth that we have been building to the track for the first time. But have been getting the old school Hiliborn injection modified for electronic FI. Have all new butterflys fitted to the throttle bores. Turning out pretty good for just mock up now.

Thought you might like to take a look at my car that I built during the winter of 1966. I started out as a 1963 Max Wedge Lightweight.
15" rear altered wheelbase, Tube front axle with leaf springs, engine set back 26", Hilborns on Nitromethane and alcohol mix. Ran high 9's at around 145mph in 1967.

Does anybody know where I could get a look at one of the 12 original A/FX cars?
