67 coronet

rad support you can just cut for a 26" outta the 22" one. Super easy to do and no one will ever notice its been cut. Used tape and a cut off wheel.

Was the 6 cylinder mounted on a V8 K-frame. If you buy a core engine buy a complete engine, shopping around for small parts pita and dollars.
I am not 100% sure. Vin said 273 and I find it hard to believe someone swapped the k frame just so they could swap a slant on it. Can you tell by looking at it?

Congrats on the Coronet...Car looks really nice.....Thanks for sharing pictures..

My vote is for a big block....440...

I would get a video of the engine running and taking it out for a ride.
There are probably some /6 enthusiasts that would love a running setup.
Strike up a deal and you'll have some cash to put towards your next engine.
Kinda what I was thinking. It runs pretty good and I know there are some slant lovers In the a body forums.

You can put in a 318 but after the first drive or 2, you’ll wished you had gone bigger

Motorhome 440 with a GM TBI spreadbore and twin turbos blowing through.
A local guy did that to a Lincoln MkV with a 460 and you wouldn't believe how that tank runs .

Depends on the part of the country you live in! If it is hundreds of mile between gas stations then the 318 is a great choice ;)

:welcome:from Ky. Go the 440 route by all means, or you'll wish you had!:steering:

I vote for a 5.9 magnum

magnumswaps.com has all the info you need

you will have about the same HP as a 383/400 and better balance and MPG

...and we are gonna need more pics

Well no one has asked. What is your budget ? If limited then the small block sounds good.If not then the sky is the limit.
Either way you will also need a transmission to go with what you chose.
If you were closer I would take that Slant drive train in a heart beat.
