Farns here from Cabbage Corner DE. Picked up a 4 door barn find 100% complete original. 318 turns but appears not to spark. New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, condenser, coil, starter, battery, cranks from the key switch, oil pressure light illuminates, fuel pumps to the carb. Need an outline for troubleshooting. Not sure where / how to start eliminating potential issues. All input welcome

This might help. Pick up a 64 a couple of years ago that had sat for years.318 cranked but no spark new points did not help. It turned out to be a bad grounding of the distributor.

Welcome from the show me state!!!

Make sure there is power where it belongs to make spark in the first place. Make sure the points wire isnt worn and shorting to the case, try a known good coil. Pick up the service maunal for your car and work methodically to find the issue.

awesome - that's a thought that hadn't occurred - had loosened the clamp with intentions of twisting a degree or two but couldn't break it loose. need to get a mallet and give a tap. installed new coil & resistor yesterday and saw a spark, but still no cough or sputter on cranking...

purchased the shop manual right after car purchase, lots of good info in there for sure, replaced original '64 Chrysler starter yesterday, she seemed tired and then quit completely. 318 cranks much better with new starter...

Welcome to the site! You might get more info if you post a question about it in one of the tech forums. There are many who don't come into the Welcome Wagon forum...
