Just waking up drinking coffee, what you doing?

Wish I had a wood burner this year tons of dead tees being cut up and just take the wood. Ash beetles hit us hard this year.

Best part of wakin' up, is Folgers in your cup! Then going to drive the Satty to have more coffee with some buddies.

Maxwell House regular coffee here.
Thinking I don't feel ready for church, starts at 10:45...

I'm a coffee-on-the-patio guy. Sitting out back with the dogs and sunrise is my preferred wake up routine. Last night dipped into the 50s for the first time since spring so it was quite a bit cooler...fall is coming!
For my taste, nothing beats real Kona coffee. When we go I always bring home about a suitcase full!

Maxwell House regular coffee here also. It's raining and getting colder as we speak. Some trees have leaves that are turning just a little and my wife's pool will be closed before they fall by the end of the month. To me, that's when the summer is officially over and fall begins.

I upgraded my morning coffee this year by buying a coffee machine that grinds the whole beans and then brews. The result is well worth it.

I don't understand the fascination with coffee and why people can't function in the morning untill they have a cup or two. Personally, I can't even stand the smell of it, let alone drink it.
Can't believe I 'red Xd' someone I so
cherish...I feel dirty...

I got hooked on that when I lived in HI. Not really foo foo, just strong with a slight flavor, hate it sweet.
I lived and transited on Oahu and personally prefer Kona over all their offerings. Macadamia are more to my liking as a Nut rather than a Foo Foo drink and such. But I ain't knockin' you at all because a cup or 2 or more of Joe is the only way to get a start on the day. Enjoy...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:

I too like a cup first thing. Now "first thing" time can vary depending on the day of the week. Monday thru Friday it's a cup to go as I drive 45 minutes to work. I usually leave the house at 7:00 a.m. Weekend rise 'n shine can vary from 6:30 to 9+, ain't gonna lie. My girl Carmen insists that every day should involve pots of coffee, with her favourite southern pecan creamer.

So how do you start your day in the Morning and with what type of libation? Inquiring minds want to know...cr8crshr/Bill:usflag::usflag::usflag:

Shoot, now I'm afraid of what TMI trash is going to be downloaded on the board from RC!

"Mornings" start at around 3am for me - I sleep a couple/three hours a night tops.
Reasons...
I love the smell of coffee, just never took a liking to drinking it. Wife is a coffee achiever, though.
Has one of those wasteful, expensive Keurig thingies.
Instead, I begin my day long hammering of artesian water from a local, un-flucked-with source:

And of course, for caffeine the who dang day, it's this and only this:

Dang doctor got me drinking diet 20 years ago when "it was better for me".
Turns out, not so much - but I can't stand the taste of sugared sodas anymore, so there ya go.

Of course, as some of you know, I do have a serious addiction to what Canadians call "darts",
so there's a lot of that going on, too.

I have a dozen news sites I peruse every morning first thing, then it's on to the fun ones like FBBO.
Always have to catch up on my Atlanta Braves, too, of course. :)
Usually have at least two screens running, so the other one is occupied with work emails and such.
It goes like that pretty much all morning... wife stirs at 6am, then she's gone off to work.
I do my thing from home these days (occasionally I'll still go visit a customer or mop up behind the
young 'uns when they break something or piss off a customer).
By the time lunch has come, I'm ready to go do something else, like fiddle with the GTX or one of
the other herd of critters that needs attention - or the house/property for that matter.
ANYTHING to get up out of this chair, which is crippling for too many hours.

That's about it from here. It's my gig. I'm awake 20+ hours per day since the first cancer hit 6 years ago,
no idea why.
Hey, it's a living. All that matters.

Oh, almost forgot...
A friend in Halifax posted up his pic of the damage received from the hurricane,
so I had some fun with it:

Yes, his sense of humor is as warped as mine. :)

Did a tour on Oahu for 5 years stayed and moved to the Hilo area for 9 years, loved it.

Looks like we are massing a good group here for sure.

I like to get whole beans & grind my own
different flavors all the time, mix it up see what's good
I love the taste of coffee,
especially a nice 1st fresh cup, right out of the pot

darker & thicker, stronger the better
cowboy coffee my kids use to call it
stand a horseshoe up in it :poke:
stronger it is the less bitter, it tastes IMO
(?, I really never thought of it as bitter)

I don't need to drink it, I can function just fine without it
I like to drink it, like the taste,
I like to sit down & enjoy the morning
(or evening sometimes after a meal or with some sort of "rich dessert')
I have a nice cup (or 3) in the AM,
my coffee mug is a 2-1/2 cup, filed about 2/3rds full

I don't get why some people want decaffeinated ?,
why even drink it ?, it's still got caffeine, makes no good sense :poke:
decaffeinated always taste like I assume '**** would too'

every so often I like some of them hoity toidy flavored creams
or Kahlua or Bailie's as a change (at night), but it's pretty rare

I like it black, sometimes with a sprinkle of sugar,
less than a teaspoon in 2-1/2 cups

been drinking coffee since I was in HS, stronger the better
my dad use to have a nice stout pot going every morning
I loved the smell of waking up to that in the AM (& bacon :poke: )
