Newly Widowed....trying to finish 69 RT restoration

My condolences also. Welcome to the best B body site in the world.

Looks like some great work taking place on your car. Was your departed a member on here at some time?

That’s awesome you’re finishing the project! My condolences as well!

Good luck on your ac part search! If the folks here can’t get you in the right direction, I bet no one can!

Keep posting pics of your progress!

Frank Mitchell passed on in April 2014 and everything was purchased by Mike....Mike is a great gent and his team are very knoweldgable and helpful......

On the website is a "contact" tab, lol....It's that easy.....They are open Monday through Friday during the day......Order or walk in....They can search their database for anything......

When Frank owned the bus..I visited that place a few times....a massive amount of parts......
Back in the early 80's (when NOS stuff was rare, repro stuff didn't exist and scavenging for good used stuff was how it was usually done) Mr. Mitchell was always known to have whatever you were after in NOS - for a price, usually a steep one.
His gruff demeanor was also legendary, but I never found that a hinderance - if I really needed something he had,
we worked something out every time.

He got quite the reputation, especially for when something went wrong on a deal - parts never shipped, stuff damaged
in transit, wrong part shipped or packed poorly, that sort of thing - but I found things got better as time went on.
Bottom line - if something was hard to find, either he or Len Dawson had it and if you wanted it badly enough,
you played by their rules.
They both had the foresight to amass huge amounts of NOS stuff back when none of it was worth much, so they
were sitting pretty when the whole explosion of popularity of these cars happened.

Just seemed to me like Frank mellowed some as time went on and got easier to deal with, especially when he
started selling on eBay.
Again, I never had a problem with him because I understood he had something I needed and conducted myself
accordingly.
RIP Frank (2014)...

He is/was not the only one with that same attitude etc.........

Frank mellowed out because of the INTERNET. It was his nemesis because now people could post reviews and it crushed his previous dealings.....

I know/knew these guys more than anybody here and dealt with some for over 20 plus years......it’s not just buying parts it’s knowing their stories and their families.......

Those are stories I'd love to hear.
It's always about the stories with this hobby.

Gentlemen,
Thanks to all for the information regarding AMS OBSOLETE and the plethora of NOS Mopar parts and stuff. I'll e-mail them with my shopping list. Thanks again to all....
