Self driving cars

it's going to be freaken' nuts in the very near future
(if it isn't already)
letting a machine decide & drive

you should have to be awake behind the wheel at a min

freaken' idiots, some people like this **** too,
^^^^^^^^^ same deal

The only use I can see for this feature, is if you want to go out and get blind stinkin drunk, then the car could drive you home!

That guy is faking it! When you're in Auto Pilot, the thing chirps at you every thirty seconds
to remind you to keep your hands on the wheel. someone should sideswipe him and scare the
BeJesus out of him!

The only way you'll ever get me into a auto drive vehicle is if I'm dead, just not goin to happen!

Let's build a car that drives itself and then be shocked when people let it do what it was designed to do. If you have to sit there with your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel, you may just as well drive the ******* thing yourself. What in the hell did they think people are going to do with these things? As if there aren't enough idiots on the road, know we have to create new opportunities for them.

Self driving vehicles are not a new invention....they have been around since I was born, they are called Taxi's......

The best one was the idiot watching. a Harry Potter movie or so when the transport made a left in front of him,,,,, yup, makes you wonder where these people come from!!!

If the car is in auto pilot, and the guy is snot slinging drunk, technically, can he be charged with DWI? No more DWI's, that'll be the next TV advertising for Weiner & Cox attorneys at law.

Self driving cars are built and designed by humans last I checked. We are not perfect, engineers or otherwise. Tacoma Narrows bridge, Space Shuttle, take your pick. Or watch Engineering Disasters on the History Channel. God gave me eyes, and legs for the gas and brake. I intend to use 'em. Just my $0.02.

Saw that video last week that should cause some alarm hopefully to the law makers but most likely won't .
Has anyone seen the Nissan add where the driver lifts her hands off the wheel between two trucks - that's safe !
My car has all that crap lane assist ,too close and behind speed space etc never use it .

Once we have self-driving cars, wipers will no longer be essential, because the car doesn’t need a clean windshield to drive. Only people do.

So let see if I've got this right!
1. No need for insurance.
2. no chance of getting a speeding ticket because everything is controlled by the computer system, and being monitored by GPS.
3. No filling up with gas!
4. No oil changes.
I'm in!

Works great, till ransomware hacks the systems and sends everyone into bridge abutments and over cliffs...

I still love my manual transmission vehicles. I like to be PART of the experience. I will say, though, that on long trips (like, Maryland to Florida) the adaptive cruise control on my Grand Cherokee is quite nice. Radar senses cars in front, and it will simply lock on, set spacing, and pace. Brakes when needed. Especially helpful with a 700+ mile range. It's nice driving nearly the whole distance, and only having to steer!

My wife's car has that & when the vehicle slows down due to a slower driver, I find that I don't always realize the slower speed and I end up driving their speed instead of mine. I use cruise all the time in my pick-up truck and I'm alert enough to understand when I need to go around a slower driver.
