This question came up just now in a convo with my friend Rick. He asked what a car would look like if I started from scratch with a drawing and assembled the "bucks" to form and attach sheet metal to them or, to start with clay and design the whole shell?

So I wondered what YOURS would look like. It doesn't have to be a MOPAR, just what ever you sometimes dream of that would be your take on a car. Pictures and hand drawings are welcome!! Think like The Rat Fink and come up with a cool design...I will post up mine shortly!! Ghost.

Not really sure, but I like the Ghia 450 SS as a starting point.
I also like the Porsche 959. So maybe something like a All-wheel drive, turbocharged, advanced technology, re-styled 1968 Barracuda?

I have this Daytona stock car project, and I think it may be time to do a rendering of the finished car. I have no idea what the color scheme will be at this point.

If I could build whatever I wanted, and money was not a object, I would do something like the custom coach work art deco cars from the 30's.

Ahhh yes, the art deco period. One of my favorites as well. They were sooo heavy. If you could borrow some of the lines and style, but, make it out of light weight material with up to the minute power plant and options....well then....yowza!

I think there's a market for a one off ultra luxury sports car, and a sedan if you limit production to 25 per year, of less even, and build them by hand. The 2020 Jaguar F Type is a great looking car, if a bit small. It does show you what people are willing to spend the money on.

Kinda a 52-3 Plymouth wagon?

Its a concept plaster of the what was to be the 1955 Willys Aero Wagon made in 1953 . I bought it from a guy that rescued it from the Kaiser car plant prior to demolition. I have all the documentation and pictures from him. He lives in Florida. I did up selling this to a collection of vintage cars out of Michigan. A museum . Where it belongs. It sat in my basement for 7 years. Not the place for a 1 of.

Cool story.
Notice the side windows. Pass side shows the vent and quarter glass as where the drivers is open. I kept two momentos from this , the hood Aero wing ornament and the W for the front grill. We will make a trip down there soon and give those to the owner of the Museum and concept car.
There were books written about this. And the where abouts were unclear till I bought it. It was cool to own. Its just to bad that as time moves forward. The people involved with these designs dont. And the paper work goes away as well.

Notice in the background the rubble from the Kaiser plant. The person on the right with the dark hair (David) he owns the Willys the concept is sitting on. The Fellow to his left was in Kaisers marketing .

Mopar graveyards aside:D

If I could build anything.....I would love to have a black 36 Lincoln zephyr with a tricked out flat head v8, no chopped top but lowered a bit.....

The Lincoln's of the 30's and 40'd were ahead of their time. The Zephyrs were cool.

The most beautiful brutes have already been designed. In clay. By those with timeless vision. 50 years later, still awesome.
