Roadkill Zip Tie Drags 2020

Ok, throwing this out. Anyone game to riding down to the Zip Tie drags on the 18th of January? I know this is auction weekend and the Pavillions will be going. I was thinking those who are interested we could meet up at the Crackerbarrel on Chandler Blvd and the 10 early in the morning and head down to the Tucson Dragstrip. Figure staying until mid afternoon or maybe later depending on what’s going on. Might leave and head back up to the Pavillions later in the day.
Who’s in?

Mods, anyway we can sickie this?

if you guys go,
make sure to take lots of photos

have fun in Jan. & good luck if you enter

I'd love to go
But;
no big road trips for me in the near future

I'm road tripping it from Texas possibly in my sons Coronet, we may do a trip event thread as well. I am trying to see about meeting as many guys from both the A&B sites as well.

I'll try and get some of the Mopars Unlimited members from Phoenix to go. Theres a Mopar club in Tucson so they mat attend. That's auction weekend so may be hard to get people willing to drive the hour and a half.

Man, the give anyone a sticky nowadays.
Thanks Paul....too many stickies will make the front page cluttered....so we don't like too many. Sorry there won't be enough space for your "Flexi-Muscle - How to Work-out" videos pages :D

Thanks Kiwi. Too bad you guys are way over there. Would be cool to drive into the event with those special RH drive cars. Turn some heads.

anyone else considered shooting for the 3k drags?
ive been thinking about a build specifically for that event.
i have the car,it deffo would pass under the 3k mark as far as crowdwise.
my main hurdle has been doing a complete turbo build and still be under the 3k budget.

We are going to try to get in on the 3k hooptie challenge. 67 Coronet 4 door with 360 magnum heart transplant. Looking promising so far. Trying to deside wether to paint the engine etc or leave it nasty. If we leave it nasty would mean pulling stuff again.

Some year I have to get to this. It would be a blast. I remember finding those guys on youtube then it went commercial. I think its cool Finnegan is still putting videos on you tube.

the roadkill guys as well as the hotrod garage guys will be there for meet and greets as well as some racing with the fans.

Looks like my bomb will fit right in. I'll do my best to make it,God willing and if the stars align !

Thanks for bringing it up at the meeting. It sounds like a good time. Plan to put my 73 Charger on the track. I wonder how they qualify a $3000 hooptie?
