Forgive my ignorance, I know what it is, a really cheap looking rollcage. What did you cut it out of?

After your done practicing on yours, come to Canada and replicate o cage for me!

I’m sure you have plenty of talented fab guys up there! Right now I’m still struggling with the decision of going through the dash or not... it would be much easier to not, but they look really nice going through.

Here’s a picture I got off of the web of one in front of the dash. I’m not utilizing the rocker bar and the door bars will bolt in.

I see a pile of black steel pipe on the floor and I get all giddy...
(old fire sprinkler guy here)

That sprinkler work is big business! We’ve got a few companies around here doing it.
Eh, it's a living. :)
Wonder if it would be acceptable to NHRA if I built a cage using all threaded fittings and Sch40 pipe?

Lol, I’ve sure seen some sketchy looking cages but the only schedule 40 I’ve ever seen was PVC! Lol

Anyone use 3" PVC just to see what it would look like?
3” would be huge! NHRA requires 1-3/4” OD .134 DOM steel or 1-5/8” OD .083 wall Chromoly. You could mock it up with 1-1/4 or 1-1/2” (ID) sch40 pvc just to check it out.

Done that been there. It really helps to do it up in pcv pipe first that way zero mistakes when you do the real thing.

We actually have a local No E.T. buddy of mine who has a BBC on spray in a fox Body Mustang that is flying, low 8's on 10.5" tires. Our track told him we know how fast you are going, time to put in a cage. Yes, it is PVC plastic painted black with some blue roll bar padding on the door bars to make it look official...Tech's never even look at the cars on No E.T. races.
We went through the dash on my Challenger. I think it looks much better that way. Even though I cut through the most expensive dash pad on the planet. Lol. These are about the best 2 pics I have of the A Pillar bars.

I watched you build this car on Moparts. Nice car. I did a 25.2 in my buddy’s BBC Fox. Twin 80’s it’ll be a 7 second car.

I hate to admit it, but the last few posts made me think of a "workaround" like that too, when the time comes, just as a placeholder of course.
