My steering wheel is split and I'm going to fix it. Anyone know or have a link to the factory color?

Thanks,
Jim

I'm thinking we could help you if you told us a little bit more about your car/truck? Original color would help too.

66 Charger. The wheel is the factory gold/brown color.

I did not use this.
You are thinking a factory match then?

I have used a PPG acrylic urethane with a clear coat.
What ever you use, I think you will want to clear coat it for maximum durability.
Perhaps there is an epoxy close to what you would want though.
A nice leather cover add comfort to driving.

I agree on the leather cover. I love mine and it covered all the rim cracks. I took my shifter "cup" from the column to my local parts store and they mixed up the right color in spray cans. I painted the column and wheel ( after epoxy patching the spoke cracks) and it turned out great for my daily driver.

Are you sure that this isnt a "wood grain" plastic steering wheel?
66's were wood grain and 67's had color

It looks like the one linked below so I'm assuming yes? I figure at this point with the right color I'll fix the crack, respray it and call it good. This is far from a numbers matching factory correct car.

That is the plastic wood grain steering wheel with all of the grain wore off
it is possible to repaint it and make it correct but there is not any 1 color code
I have always hated the fake wood grain look and the cost of having them restored is not cheap
I went with a Grant Classic wood grain wheel and love it
