Header recommendation for my 67 Coronet 440

Please put in the new motor mounts, and if that doesn't resolve the problem completely, try making a couple of shims to raise the engine. Think the problem through before swinging the hammer.

I have Doug’s D452, 2 inch headers on my 66 Coronet. They fit very good, but #1 tube did need to be clearance at the torsion bar, and #2 did slightly touch the shock tower when I got on it for the first time. I have poly lock mounts. They are well built, with thick flanges. I’m finding out that using tti exhaust will require some fabrication on the drivers side, where tti headers would fit tti exhaust. The Doug’s headers fit angled plug heads perfectly.

does this mean other brands of exhaust will have the same problems on the drivers side of dougs headers

charger10, I would like to answer your question, but I can’t. I had planned to fill out a order sheet for tti and tell them what headers I have so they could make the reducer/adaptor to mate up the header to the exhaust, but when I called to ask a couple questions , the man I talked to said I would have to fabricate my own adaptor. No big deal to do this, just sharing the info I learned, and hoping to see some pics from other members, since there are dozens using Doug’s headers? Hopefully others can answer your question.
