New wheels and tires

Lookin good, but the price of Redlines! Jesus Chrysler. I’ll just keep frying off the cheap Coopers on my lesser ride. All my projects cost twice as much and take twice as long as expected.

Yes, they are expensive and I look at it this way; it hurts the wallet once, but enjoyment I get with the new look of the car will last years.

Looks good on that color car. You've got me thinking of painted wheels for a T5 Copper Metallic paint job, like my Coronet.

I’m leaning towards the painted wheels to match my burnt orange 70 Charger or maybe even black steelies. Another option is Mag 500’s.

Thoughts? I probably need to use one of those wheel programs to simulate the look. It is a V21 stripe car (hood stripes aren’t on at the moment) so wondering what wheel combo will really tie it all together nicely!

Were those caps used on other cars or were they used on 68 charger only ?
The reason I ask is that I got a Very nice set on them and could not figure out what they came on. I think they look very cool.
Mine will be going on a 67 R/T , because I like them.

Jolly good well done Mr Dick. I really like color keyed rims and fatties out back.ing with
These I shot racing with http://supercarraces.com/vision.html as an A/FX exhibition vehicle. I just tag on the the last of the racers and make a pass.MANY fantastic rare expensive cars being raced stock appearing.

They're a 68 (only) B-body cap. Not sure if they could have come on C-bodies.

Love the look of steelies. Tried them on my red 70' also with 275's on the rear. It just didn't suit my car all that much since it is not a plain jane with all the options it has. I still mix it up once in awhile though.

Any reason for 70's on front and 60's on rear.. I was thinking of going the other way with my '68

Beadlocks are so nice to have for swapping tires at home with no need for a tire machine. Just mounted up some new Mickey's last night myself.

When I said that I was going to do this, if someone told me that I'd spend 2 1/2 grand, I would have said hat they were way off on their estimate.

You see so many people on this and other car forums who are thrilled with the complete rust bucket that they just bought thinking that they are going to put 15 grand into it they'll have a completely restored car. I posted the cost of the wheels just so that everyone can see that 15 grand is chump change.
To do a proper restoration you are looking at about 750 hours... Thats not including parts that's just labour. If you get a proffesional which you probably should your looking at $90 or so a hour, its not hard to figure out that mopar you have is going to cost you money... That is why they are worth so much these days.
