Agreed. Let's hope that the Vendor chimes in here before **** gets nasty. :)
I have moved up the chain with CI before about shipping, price matching, refunds and replacements. I have built two cars and I have always been happy, I believe the OP will be also.

The only thing nasty is an OE car claimed to be like the day it rolled out of the factory with a ton of CI Chinese reproduction junk on it......:popcorn2:

Ya I've actually bought a large order of a few things from them and it was all good.

Now I remember that in my order bought a glove box for my 64 fury that didnt fit right. I called them about it a couple months or so after I ordered... after I had finally gotten around to installing it. I forget how it went down exactly but long story short I told them that it didn't fit correctly and they were actually pretty helpful and sent me new one that fit better, I think they paid to return ship the bad one back to them too.

So they did the right thing then, they will probabaly make this right...

Whatever you do on the phone just realize - they can hear you EVEN WHEN YOU ARE ON HOLD! So a few kind words (lies) never hurts. My niece is a rep for APPLE... trust me on this....

They might not have been aware of the situation of the price drop, since the order was placed long ago.
I guess the sales guy just ends up with an order paper and processes it as is.
Customer service wise they should be able to do something with it and sell it to you for the current price.

Regarding CI, i had ordered quite some stuff from them and all has been ok.
I had a OER speedometer that f*cked up within a few months, it seemed like the speedometer cable was a little to long and caused the brass drive in the speedometer to run to the ground.
I send them some pictures, and due to my location, i did not have to ship the old one back and send me a new one.
They even mentioned that if i would receive an invoice for import charges to send it to them and they will refund that as well.
The carry the warranty from OER i guess but it was dealt with fast and without questions.

Anyway i hope you can get it sorted out with them.

I was told verbally today they are going to make this right. I will be sure to follow up with the result

Funny how Ray can pop in and clear things up on DC but with at least 2 prompts from here to said "sponsor" crickets!

Please do. They are doing a great disservice if they give you anything less than the current, cheaper price.

I hear you MN but sometimes you can't get around it on certain parts. I have a full set of OEM fender hardware, both sides, for a 68 B that are so dinged up that they would look like total hell to re-use.
$500 shipped!:D
I would rather throw some repro hard to find parts on than wait for decades trying to find good OEM parts and not finish the project.
I also don't boast "Like the day it rolled out of the factory". These cars are butt @ssed ugly OEM anyway IMHO.
Trick em out, have fun with them. That's what they were built for.

Wait, hold the phone a second here.
Did you just call our beloved b-body Mopars "butt assed ugly"??

How many beers have you had?...lol....far left field bro....

Were you the one claiming to have an OE, day it rolled blah blah, NOPE but you sure chimed in on that post that wasn't in relation to you obviously, lol..

Decades to wait for fender bolts, lol.....I let go about ten sets of pristine fender bolts to a dear old friend, along with many other types of original hardware for free....Thats why we have friends and friends help others......Maybe you should change your tune and those decades could have been much shorter......but your not a friendly type of guy....change can happen at any age....

My butt @ssed ugly OEM cars are doing quite well......One gets daily enjoyment seven days a week.....The feedback is amazing.....so I guess people do love these butt @ssed OEM cars:D

LMAO. Numbers Matching car. Big difference. Bolts aren't numbered.
In response to your initial question, 6 at this point, I think. Long day here.
As for the rest of it, like I said, different strokes.

This statement clearly states the lack of education you have about originality.....However, you think you "know" and that makes it even more comical...

Reproduction hardware looks completely different from original hardware....They differ in size, shape, edges, washers, thickness, even the script is different in size and the metal itself is of a different quality......

You are so right MN. My education is in other areas. Didn't mean to start a pissing match dude.
Keep looking for those correct bolts.

I am just answering in relation to your lack of understanding of what a true OE build is about.....Correcting your incorrect statements, thats all...Along with a brief education lesson.....I guess relaying facts versus incorrect information makes it a "pissing match" since you're on the latter....

I don't have to "look" for correct bolts for two reasons. One, I have saved "correct" bolts/hardware etc to do two 68-70 B bodies(future projects:p) and Two my restored cars have ALL the correct hardware on them......

There was a gentleman named Frank Wilson who always did a slide show at each NeHOA meet back in the 80's.
Frank was seriously old school; a scholar on all things Mopar, he knew his **** about them because he LIVED them
when they were new, during the heyday of the early 60's and onwards.
He was sort of the official club documentarian, throwing up pictures of all the members' rides from the previous
meets, discussing this aspect or that as the rest of us nursed our beers and had a good ol' time, enjoying the show.
A true treasure, he was. I respected hell out of him and learned much...

I bring up Frank now because he had certain terms to describe parts and modifications that folks would do to their
Mopars; he never outright criticized someone for tacky taste or some such, choosing rather to gently dig at them
cleverly with a well-placed comment as their car came up in the slideshow.
Some of us even considered it a badge of honor to be chosen to be ribbed by Mr. Wilson; we got the joke and knew
he didn't mean anything by it.
One of his favorite words to describe the "Car Craft" treatment some would give their cars (others might know it as
the "JC Whitney customization" or "that boy spent his entire check at Mannn, Moe and Jack's place"); such flashy
bling, obviously not original or necessary to the function of the car, he called "gingerbread".

To this day, I see a picture like Runner posted up there ^^^ and that word instantly comes to mind:
"Gingerbread". Kinda goes along with the "Chevy Craft" magazines of the day, least to me.
Just takes dollars, a lackadaisical approach to what this hobby is all about and a desire to be NOTICED, really.
*BLING* LOOK AT ME!!
Oy....one of the reasons I don't care for the typical Ford/Chevy crowds is that they're full of folks who like such
stuff.
The Mopar guys always were, and always will be, the ones who took the serious road when it comes to these old
rides - all about a pride and fascination in the history of the marque, not caring to be popular or one of the bling
crowd.

Some folks like substance....some folks like gingerbread.
We ain't the gingerbread crowd over here in Pentastar land.
Damn proud of that.
