Getting headaches.

I've found I get them after working under car.
I wear prescription glasses, find the work is either
to close or to far away.
Always trying to focus causes my headaches.
I had my eye doctor build me a set of glasses that are the same magnification as my bifocal lens and corrected for my astigmatism, in fact I am wearing them as I type this. They get blurry at about 3-4' but for close work they are the cats ***!
I got them for welding but, for close over head work, under dash, and the computer I just love them! I got cheap frames so they only cost me $70.00.

I'm just guessing here but is it fair to say that most people get headaches occasionally?
What is an average number for a relatively healthy guy? 1 a month? 2 maybe ?
Lately I get them after doing something out in the shop where I wear prescription glasses.
I wear contact lenses that allow me to do about 90 % of what I need to do. I sometimes need the extra magnification of glasses to see close up.
Something about the eye strain gives me a type of headache that develops in a strange way.
It ebbs and flows. It comes in a little, then goes away. This either builds to a full headache or fades away completely. I rarely take pills. I'd rather hold off to see if I really need them.
Besides kids or politics, what gives you headaches and what are they like?

No, I don't get them.

You have COVID-19 and that's why you are having headaches. :p

I wear 2x readers all the time.

If I'm actually reading, I wear 3.75x.

Most of the headaches I get are stress related and have little to do with vision although not trying to read small print helps to not aggravate them.

A few years ago, one of my wife's friends turned me on to an "S" cane for giving yourself a massage (easy, now) in the shoulder and neck area to work out knots.

Changed my life.

By chance, do the headaches come only when you go over to DC.com?

You should've asked for trifocals. No need to get separate glasses.

Only wear the glasses for driving. I need to get the sun glasses back out of the storage compartment in the truck. Bifocals I have no use for and my left hand is the better for it. If I want a migraine cigarette smoke is the fastest way there. If I want a headache not enough sleep and spell checker on this website. Muscle cramps in my feet, hands and slurred speech are my first signs of dehydration. In fact my right foot is bothering me right now. Sitting here with a bottle of Gatorade.

Nope. It still would have presented a problem with welding, tipping the head back to use the bifocal burns the neck and limits my comfort in the process. I did ask about a upper bifocal but, the doc suggested the extra pair and I'm happy!
