I might piss a few people off but...

Magnums -not bad looking but HEAVY, 8 million pounds and they only could come with the 190 horse 400 I think. Nice lookin white Magnum but get ridda the up and over stripe in the back

Does anybody remember the old story about a guy who took his car to Mexico for a Tuck and Roll interior job and it looked great but after a few days he noticed it started smelling terrible. Turns out the Guy who did the job used cow patties for padding. I'm sure it was BS not cow patties LOL

Was REALLY interested in it,looking for ANY B TTOP /moonroof car...
Then saw GT... But no tag pics?
U G L Y Gt striping, way across in Tampa I'm semi retired in Phoenix ,then saw cut out on bottom of rad support was starting to get leary...wish it was the uber rare P code. So for maybe 7500 I'd be in.

"Streetside Classics"! They've had the same green AMC pacer listed for 20 grand for over a year now. Their FeeBay fees must have ran way past that by now.

I too have a 79 GT with the HP 360 and t-top. The 1 of 20 figure you put out, what combination does that reference? Where did you find that info? Maybe I have one of those also?

I agree with the o/p. So annoying that dealer can't do a little cleanup and instead of "believed to be original 400", check it out for crying out loud!!!! If it were a private seller, okay, I'd cut them slack. And stripe looks terrible.

And the hp ratings for that year were very respectable. And wasn't that a net rating in that year? What was a corvette's hp rating in '79? Probably about the same or less!! I'd love to have a Magnum, especially with a 400!

Nightwatch Blue, not Canadian.

IDK a 400 T top GT is kinda cool.

14K is a bit much though.
Sorry but I really like these cars. I just sold mine a couple years ago that was ready for paint. T-Tops, 360 I believe, I sold it for $2500. Only sold it because I got the 72. That car looks nice but they should have left the stupid GT stripe and hood treatment off.

If the person who bought it was a real Mopar lover, first thing to do would be to find the original factory paint code, and then repaint the car in that colour with the best painter he can find. Hopefully, the buyer was knowledgeable enough not to fall for the sales pitch (blatant lies about the paint job).

Second thing to do would be to clean the underside.

the "GT" looks like something from a college football helmet

I wouldn't own a T-top unibody car. Not meant to b. Put 1 front tire up on the curb/boulevard and can't close the door cuz everything is weakened so bad. I'm not exagerating much. T-tops are a pain in *** and never get used. My manual sun roof cars sunroof was used all the time and worked great. Thas my experience

You have obliviously never had a Mopar uni-body. The stiffness of these is amazing. I have a set of jack stands with one a half inch shorter (an error in my building them in welding shop in high school), every Mopar that I have put them under at the extreme ends of car (bumper mounts) the one doesn't touch. None of these cars flex enough over 15+ feet to make that one slightly short jack stand do anything other than look pretty.

I currently have 6 T-top cars and have had 3 others in the past I've never driven softly. Zero problems with twist or distortion. I was actually rear-ended at 45 mph buy a loaded Astro van with a trailer in my 78 Cordoba and I had to take out the glass top to get out because the quarter was pushed into the door. No glass was broken and the roof was bent less than most cars I've fixed that were hit at a fraction of the speed.
