I just noticed a sign in a dollar store, about them needing change, due to the national change shortage. The clerk said, they cant even fill their requests at their bank. This was the first i heard of this shortage. Is this another step by the nwo bull crap, for a cashless society ?

I heard since this virus started, not too many places take bills and coin anymore so it has stalled the circulation.

Yes I was in my bank yesterday and I posed the question. I was told that the bank was dangerously low. So I did my duty and took my 2 coffee cans,1 large the other medium to the bank this morning and cashed them in , $590.83 that's my intake and carb.

The ONLY change in paying i've seen, in my community, is the kfc now has a debit card reader that they stick out the window, for the customer to use. And they are the only fast food to have it, around here.

....shew-wee, we're all coming over to go though your couch and pockets....

You should charge them DOUBLE if they need coins that bad, just say'in...

Don't most banks and stores charge to take change now a days. I thought they put those Machines in?

Oh they charge 10%last I saw only banks don't charge
I say supply and demand all change should be worth double!
But that's coming from a guy who dumps his change in a drawer all the time because I don't like carrying change

Afik, no coin shortage here in central florida! We even get our fair share of Canadian coins.

Maybe @hammond472 will do his duty and cash in his hoard.
I thought about his guess for the "motor-mount prize" thread, 1st thing too :D

I haven't noticed any issues here

I do pay for most everything with credit card lately
or cash if it's food, a drink or something less than like $20-$50
I have the cash in my wallet

I have probably $1000+ in change
between my truck & the house
every time I come home with change I just throw it in
a 5 gal. water jug in my bedroom or my coin bucket in my truck's console

last time I cashed it in it was over $2000, I was shocked

I use it & mostly won it
when I play cards, especially with family, when they come up & visit
& friends gathering, we seem to play a lot of card games
I haven't done much of that of late, since the Chinese Wuhan Flu BS

it is or was always sort of an emergency fund
done it since I was a teenager

I may have to go cash them in, most the banks want it rolled
they charge you a fee % for doing it otherwise or use to anyway
& I don't feel like rolling it all up

:usflag:

We have some coin shortage here in some stores like Lowes, Home Depot etc.... One of the other reasons is here Banks are not open and they will not accept rolled coins through the drive through as one person filled a canister and it got stuck in the tube shutting down one lane... So individuals have coins they can't easily get them back in circulation... Just my thoughts as I see it here...

That's pretty funny, last time I tried to get rid of my change, no one wanted it. No one around us had a change counter. Had to take it to a grocery store and gave them 10 percent for running it through their machine. I end up with around $950.00. Now they can kiss my ***, I'm keeping it this time.

I have lots of pennies. Canada got rid of the penny a few years back. its a pain when I do go to the US I just leave them there.

Surcharge? KMA!!!

I'll stop in at a vet-owned Chevron gas station and work out something with him. He's in his upper 60's. A super nice guy.

Stop&Shop in my town has a change counter, don't think there is any charge.

If the store has no change ask them to round it to the nearest dollar.
