Waking up the beast

Thanks Bob,
The time slip I posted was actually the second best pass of the day.
My last pass that I lifted on was 9.762 @ 134.
I hope to get out at least one more time this year.

The day I blew up the GTX.
The very next weekend I brought this motor to my machine shop and it's still sitting in the same place. This is why I've missed so much racing. This is supposed to be my backup motor.
Think I'll be having a talk with him soon...

Hey bobtile, I'm only on post# 590, and I'm about to watch the video in the next post.
Darn it!! You gave away part of the novel I'm reading! :poke:
It may seem funny, but a lot of what you went through in the beginning is what I'm soon going to face as soon as my Roadrunner comes out of the shop, except I'm having a lot of the stuff you added put on as I post this.
It's actually a captivating read, with a good mix of advice, your experiences, and humor. Could be a best seller!

I'll let you buy my story from me and make it a best seller for yourself.
Hopefully you don't make the same mistakes.
Good luck!

Well after diligent effort, I have read EVERYTHING in this thread!
I have to say, I'm a little sad you sold the GTX, but I get it, you are racing so much, that going from a B-Body to an A-Body is definitely a quick way to lose a lot of weight in your ride, and go a lot faster with the same engine. The videos are great, your progress and descriptions of issues, changes, and results have been informative and the whole thread was entertaining. I never did sleuth the sudden departure from NENDRA, but that's not important. I don't want to poke the hornet's nest.
Tell me bobtile, where can I read about your racing experiences since the end of this thread?
