Hi! I have a 1970 RR that I'm going to start restoring this fall. The gas tank is missing and I know it is either a 2 or 4 vent tank. How do I know which one I need? The car is an original 383, but I will be dropping in a 440 as the 383 is gone from the car.

I believe that 1970 had 2 vent hoses. Went to 4 in after the b-bodies changed body style.

A '70 model year B-body equipped with California emissions will have the extra vent lines. If you car has a menagerie of lines like the pic below, you need the tank with the extra fittings. This is a pic of the vent lines exiting the trunk area from our '70 Satellite convertible. If you have them, they will exit the trunk right behind the passenger rear tire. Hope this helps!

your cars fender tag should have N95 (70-71 Emissions Control) if you need the tank with more than two lines
