Now that I think about it, I never made a thread here on the A12 I recently got.

Picked her up a few months ago in Norther Ca. sitting in a grass field for the last 30 years or so. Same owner since the late 70s.

It's the rarest of the A12s - WM21 Auto. This particular car was originally R4 red and came with a column shift and bucket seats. Not necessarily how I would have ordered it from Dodge back in the day but I will still take it. No build sheet but all the body numbers match and the fender tag was there as well.

The car is pretty solid but tt will need a new qtr panel extensions, a trunk floorpan and it has a little bit of surface rust near the gas pedal but other than that, the car is really solid.

That’s really cool they are still out there wish I could come across one like that.

Gonna be watching this thread. What a cool find!

It needs TLC. But has to be done. Motor and trans gone?

So this is a true A12? 1969 1/2? 4 speed, dana 4.10:1? "M" code?

Why the two different paint colors under the back seat? Quite odd that way.

kinda looks red just really dirty where there was no carpet on that part of the floor pan. If you look at the pic beside it you can see the driveshaft hump in the shade
is red.

Didn't know A12 had autos? But I will admit im not the best source on Dodge. Never owned a Dodge car. All Plymouth's. But a little research? They did come both. But I have always believed the nice looking Superbee. Look forward to view progress

Just dirty. When I got the car I was only home for the weekend and did all the progress you see was done the morning I flew out. When I pressure wash the interior you will see the same shade of that beautiful R4 red throughout.

What are everyones thoughts on the surface rust not he floor boards? Wire wheel it off and spray with rust inhibitor and spray over that with R4 red?

The car will probably get a nickel and dime restoration just to get it on the road. I am half tempted with making it a 4 speed. I toyed with the idea of selling it to buy a 4 speed but it was a great memory getting it with my dad that I am pretty sure it will be a keeper.

Although I want 4-speeds in all my cars and actually converted my current Bee project to one, I would not do it to a Hemi or A12 car. Just my opinion, but there were so few of them made to start with and they are all special as they left the factory.
